We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Durbhakula and his team. My husband had a robotic full knee replacement done at the surgery center. He was able to go home in just a few hours. He did all of his therapy at home or on his own. By two weeks he was walking without a cane. He barely took any pain medications. Job well Dr. Durbhakula and his excellent team at OrthoBethesda.

If you need knee surgery go to Dr. Durbhakula and his team at the Washington Joint Institute. He does everything with robotic surgery. You can go home the same day and get all your therapy at home. He provides videos and links and his team is always there to answer all your questions. The office is very polished and professional. Dr. Durbhakula really is the best.

Dr. Durbhakula is truly a gifted knee surgeon. He replaced both my knees with robotic surgery and I went home the same day both times. It is an amazing procedure. I am back to all my activities within just a few months of back to back surgeries. Dr. Durbhakula was kind, respectful and answered all my questions. He had amazing office follow up and his whole team was always there for me every step of the way. I had a wonderful experience and I would recommend Dr. Durbhakula to anyone with any knee issues. He does a really amazing job with robotic knee replacement.

Be wary. He can be personable, but what you need is skill. In my knee replacement surgery, the parts he used were too large and were misaligned. From my first night out of surgery through the next 8 months, I had very painful spasms, every single day. There were plenty of warning signs that my recuperation was failing; Dr. D. overlooked every one of them. He didn’t listen or believe me when I met with him multiple times to discuss my lack of progress and my on-going pain. He was dismissive about getting a second opinion. I got one anyway. That led to a complete revision of my knee by Dr. Evans at Georgetown, a surgeon known to fix bad surgeries. After my revision surgery, my pain ended completely and immediately. My recuperation is now on track. If your surgery isn’t successful, you need a surgeon who can recognize that and deal with it. Dr. D. could not. Initially he was very communicative, but when things started to fall apart, he avoided me. Because of Dr. D’s failed… surgery, I’ve lost an entire year… so far. Still, I am giving him 1 star for being friendly when we first met. Otherwise, he deserves 0 stars.

I have had multiple hand overuse injuries and have had stellar care from Dr. D. He is a fabulous diagnostician and provides excellent treatment. I am very appreciative that he has helped me continue in my practice over the last several years.

Dr. D his a great surgeon with a great team around him. I had an excellent experience from start to finish. I highly recommend this surgeon.

This practice is now an assembly line. Dr. Durbahkula is severely overbooked and with an appointment, it takes 2 hours to be seen by him. Patients sit with immense pain and the practice totally ignores them. There are better orthopedic surgeons and practices. Don't waste your time with this practice.

Very knowledgeable with great bedside manners. He explains the treatment plans and his procedures in the office are almost painless. Great surgeon.
