Dr. Stephen M Busch, DO

Being new to the area, I wanted to find a doctor who could take care of my vision problems I have experienced most of my adult life. It is an enormous undertaking to say the least. In my new job, a cohort mentioned Dr. Busch's name, and how he had been going to him for several years, and how thorough and knowledgeable Dr. Busch was. I took his advice, and am happy to report it was the best advice ever! The entire experience, right down to the friendly staff, was so positive! Dr Busch listened to me, then proceeded to asked many questions concerning my history, so thorough and attentive. He was genuine, and I felt like he cared about my vision. I am so thrilled and relieved to have someone I trust taking care of my eyesight, there is nothing more important to me than my vision!

Several years ago I had an appt with Dr Busch for what I thought was an eye infection. He gave me antibiotics which worked but eventually it came back. He gave me more antibiotics and it came back again. On the 3rd visit he gave me more antibiotics and said come back in 30 days. When I asked why (with no expression on his face, no hint of compassion and with extreme bluntness he said he thought I had cancer on my bottom eyelid and left the room. I was in total shock and left crying. After calming down I decided if the same antibiotic was given to me all along what difference would it make after 30 days. I immediately went to another eye doctor who rushed a biopsy which came back negative. This man has the bedside manner of a wet noodle. He should be ashamed of how he treats his patients (no respect, no concern and incorrect diagnosis). The only reason I am writing this review now is I need an exam and ran across his name and immediately remembered how scared I was and how… cold he was. Needless to say my exam will NOT be with him.

This was my first and my last visit! I wasnt able to complete one of the test because of anxiety and he became extremely annoyed and inpatient. When I started to cry he quickly ended the appointment.

He saved my sight! Dr. Busch was my 3rd opinion and he found the glaucoma that no one else did. My pcp recommended him and I decided to give it one more try. The other opthalmologists had been told about my eye pain and sores, but told me to use over the counter drops. Though the pressure in my left eye was being treated with some drops since 2016, I was never told I had glaucoma til I saw Dr. Busch. When I went to Dr. Busch he diagnosed me in both eyes immediately and explained that I had a rare kind of glaucoma. He was able to explain that it is caused by the shape of my eye. Both other doctors missed that. Dr. Busch did everything to save my sight over the next few days. He gave me urgent care and my surgery happened within a few days. In the meantime, my pressure was controlled and he saw me again the day after my first visit. I credit my pcp for referring me to Dr Busch and of course am so thankful for Dr. Busch's knowledge and care in saving my sight which was in immediate… danger.

Pleasant office staff. Dr Busch explained details of my problem and very satisfied with the solution.

Dr Busch has been taking care of my family for over a decade. over holidays, with sports injury's , he always is available. so glad he is in our community.

Dr. Busch seems to always be rushed and lacks concern. He does not care about his patients. I have visited him several times and feel this way each time I leave. Its' now time to find a new ophthalmologist.

rushed and not caring or thorough, not treated like I mattered. found out I had serious problems when I went to another eye dr. for the next visit. I knew something was wrong but got no real answers from him. thank God the other dr. was thorough and paying attention.

I wasn't happy with him or is diagnosis. He gladly charged a copayment for a follow up one week later after his treatment was unsuccessful only to spend 5 minutes with me to send me to another ophthalmologist. I felt like a number and not a patient who was cared for. I do not recommend this Dr.
