Dr. Stephen Peter Cass, MD

Not very nice and does not take the time to listen to his patients. I would not recommend this doctor.

Fantastic experience with Dr Cass overall, but I was most impressed with the amount of time he was willing to share with me, given the major decisions I faced. His office to time to make sure all pertinent info was gathered, relayed to Dr Cass, and then no rush in explaining my options and answering all of my questions. And once I was gone and thought of more questions, it was no hassle to get in touch with office staff and have those concerns addressed. Could not be happier so far

Pros: 1) Very knowledgeable. 2) Great bedside manner. 3) Competent both in office visits and surgery. 4) Takes as much time with a patient as needed to answer questions, explain procedures, etc. 5) Gives realistic information about treatment options, both pros and cons to each option. Doesn't pressure the patient into one treatment or another, lets the patient decide. 6) Doesn't give up on challenging cases. Cons: 1) It can take quite a while to get an initial appointment or routine follow up appointments. Urgent follow up appointments might be available in a timely fashion. 2) If your appointment isn't first thing in the morning, it's almost a guarantee that he'll be running behind, perhaps by a lot (an hour or more). 3) Given that he works at the University hospital, medical students/residents will usually be involved in your visit, whether shadowing Dr. Cass or doing some of the preliminary assessments before he comes in. That said, any time a resident has done the… preliminary assessment on me, Dr. Cass has always validated their relevant findings with an abbreviated assessment.

Dr. Cass did in ONE DAY what other medical professionals couldn't do in almost three years! He listened to me and took appropriate action to finally give me the answers I need. Thanks to Dr. Cass, I know that my condition is not a lost cause and I am grateful that he is responding to my urgency to restore my hearing.I very highly recommend Dr. Cass!!Thank you!!!!

Start off, they double charged me and was surprised that I caught it. the dr. had me in the waiting room while his puppy gave me a few dizzy tests.. ie: lay back bring your head forward.. blah blah. With the puppy.. probably about 30 min. the money maker came in. I told him the sub occipital area hurts and itches and I am dizzy w/miraines.. he was there for 5 min gave me a line of you need to use selzum blue and you have a classic case of migraines. I was ticked off and told him my time here was a waste of time and I should not have been treated the way he and his puppy treated me! NO HELP at all. He may have a degree and money.. and he wants your money too!

Not one for offering any advice or explaining any part of your situation without prompting. If you wanted to know you had to ask. Very plastic phoney smile. Might be smart but would never know.
