Dr. Stephen Patrick Cleary, MD

Dr. Stephen Cleary walks a fine line between being careless in providing a completely premature and inaccurate diagnosis to risking medical malpractice. He diagnosed me with a severe condition and prescribed me harmful pills before even seeing the test results of my blood work. The results came a week later, and it was normal. Despite this error, he and his staff made no attempt to follow up with me, give me clarification on his misdiagnosis, inform me not to take the harmful pills, etc. Considering filing a complaint against him and his office to the higher medical board/authority!

I was referred to Dr. Cleary by a friend to resolve a common enough issue, but a year later when I decided to have the procedure he seem to hedge and haw, then pressured me to have a more drastic procedure in a rushed sort of way, yet at the same time seemed to be unfamiliar with my file because he made some strange assumptions and then went back and forth on the need for routine pre-surgery tests. A few visits later he referred me to someone else to have the Da Vinci surgery which is contraindicative in my situation so I assume he could try this technique. After several months I decided to get off this merry-go-round and went to another Ob/Gyn. who has since resolved my issues including discovering a complication that Dr. Cleary should have easily found early on if he hadn't dithered so much.
