Dr. Lovich completed his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University, in New York where he graduated Magna Cum laude, followed by internships in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. He completed his Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Mayo Clinic In Rochester, Minnesota in 1991 where he was awarded the Karis Award by the Mayo Clinic Foundation for "exemplary performance in demonstrating caring, respect, integrity and excellence in the delivery of patient care." Dr. Lovich spent the next 12 years as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at David Grant Medical Center with special assignments as Director of the Craniofacial Board, and Medical Director of the Ambulatory Care Unit. Dr. Lovich has active staff privileges at Ashland Community Hospital, Rogue Valley Medical Center, Providence Hospital, the Surgery Center of Southern Oregon, and the Ashland Surgery Center. He is Board Certified in Plastic and …Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, and Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He is currently licensed in the State of Oregon. Dr. Lovich holds active memberships in the Jackson County Medical Society, American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the Oregon Medical Society, and has performed all facets of plastic and reconstructive surgery including cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgery with an emphasis on natural results that make his patients look "better not different." Dr. Lovich is clearly a very skilled and knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to my concerns and his staff was excellent as well. I am 2 months post-op with barely a scar! I call that a success.

Dr. Lovich was the right doctor for me. He was very informative and knowledgeable about my condition and he made me feel comfortable about how he was going to deal with it surgically. His staff was very warm and friendly which made the experience so much easier for me. The day of surgery I was very nervous, but Dr. Lovich greeted me with a smile and a joke which set the mood in a positive direction. I am forever grateful for Dr. Lovich, his amazing skill, his team, and would highly recommend them to my friends and family.

Dr Stephen Lovich is an excellent surgeon who spends time discussing the procedure in detail. He seemed like he really wanted to help me understand what was happening to me, and how he was going to fix it. My experience during my surgery was good, as I enjoyed listening to all his stories. In some way it distracted me from why I was there in the first place. His staff are wonderful and very personable. I would highly recommend Dr. Lovich to all my friends and family!

My surgery was agonizing while it was happening and required approximately ten months and a great deal of therapy to reach the point of medical stability, which was clearly not a full recovery. A couple of weeks post surgery, he looked at the mess, walked out of the exam room and did not return, leaving me to find my way out of the office in the total absence of any staff and to find a therapist on my own. The same procedure was done later to the other hand by an excellent local surgeon. Recovery was comparatively a breeze and the eventual result has been incomparably better.

Dr. Lovich and his staff made me feel so comfortable. A little procedure for them was still a big deal to me and I was feeling anxious. They took my mind off of what was being done and Dr. Lovich has great bedside manner. All of my questions were answered. I felt his staff was very competent and I had no doubt in my mind that they would take great care of me. The procedure was quick and painless!

I had a procedure at Dr. Lovich's office and he and his staff were very pleasant and professional. I am very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Lovich.
