Dr. Stephen George Pappas, MD

As a registered nurse I guess my expectations of patient care is higher than it should be. I would not recommend this office to anyone. I had a brain MRI with the report sent to Dr. Pappas office the same day. I have left multiple messages trying to make an appointment for a follow up for my results. No one returns my calls. Patient safety and care is not a priority for this office/ staff.

I first visited Dr. Pappas’ Jesup office in 2016. I was experiencing extremely sharp facial pain which was interfering with the most mundane daily tasks; putting on make-up, brushing my teeth, and eating. Dr. Pappas immediately recognized this as facial neuralgia and prescribed medicine which has helped immensely. This condition occasionally, and without any noticeable trigger, flares up from time to time. When this happens, Dr. Pappas sees me again, listens to the symptoms I’m having and adjusts the dosage of the medicine he prescribes. Thanks, Dr. Pappas, for helping me so very much! P. S. Thanks for coming to Jesup one day a week! And....you’re office staff is so very cordial, too.??

Diagnosis: Bell's Palsy Fear is a driving force which will distort thoughts and tear your reality into multiple pieces. Yes, Google will provide definitions, possible ways of treatment, most asked questions and more. A referral from my PCM was to Dr. Pappas who helped alleviate the fear, sift through numerous questions and manage pain meds. Overall, I am satisfied with the professionalism of care received.

I can honestly say that I really do appreciate The care that I receive from Dr Pappas's office. His staff is very nice and friendly. Dr. Pappas listens....he doesn't over-talk you to get you out the door! That's an A+ in my book! Sometimes the wait to see him can be a little long, but the service he provides to care for my health issues outweighs it.

I am writing to thank your entire staff for the excellent care received during my visit to your office. Starting with the courteous receptionist - Kristin when first walking in today, each staff member ( Phlebotomist- Deana, Nurses - Kady and Jeneen and Nerve Conduction Technician-Tyler) presented themselves in a positive, professional manner. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the waiting room and the examination rooms. A very special thanks to Dr. Pappas has a terrific bedside manner. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He is very thorough, and was more than willing to answer all the questions that I had. I am extremely happy with Dr. Pappas.

Dr Pappas has accurately diagnosed and treated numerous nerve and pain conditions with superior knowledge and advanced technologies. By applying these machines by well trained technicians, outstanding nurses, tentative receptionists, and the application of his abilities, I am able to lead some sort of normal life now.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pappas for several years. Over the past 1 1/2 yrs., on four separate occasions he did not even come into the exam room. His nurse would talk to me, go talk to him, and come back to tell me what he said. This is wrong on many levels. I won't go back to him.

Dr. Pappas has been my neurologist since 2008. Nine years ago I was in a downward spiral, physically and emotionally, from the effects of Parkinson Disease never before diagnosed. Dr. Pappas recognized my condition at my first visit and has been managing my care ever since. If 'you can't handle the truth', Dr. Pappas is not for you. He is a man who is direct, abrupt, and brutally honest, a true professional who does not suffer fools. For those who may be concerned about long office waits, go find another doctor who will meet your scheduling needs. I will stay in Dr. Pappas' waiting room for as long as it takes. Why? Because, he is one mighty smart doctor and for that I am extremely grateful.

Be ready to spend a VERY long time waiting in this office, usually well over an hour. Staff are pleasant, Dr Pappas is pleasant, but doesn't spend long with you. Have no idea if diagnosis is accurate or not. So give 3 stars. Overall 2 stars for impossible wait times.
