What happened to him? He has disappeared from his business in Lenior City.

Dr. Pershing has been my doctor for over 27 years. He stays up to date with new medical information. He always spends as much time as needed with each patient. I feel very confident with his care.

He is the only doctor that has been able to help me in over 30 years. Plain and simple. With his treatment his he cured both my rotator cuff‘s and carpal tunnel in my right wrist did this all without surgery brought me to a better health. Not sure what I would’ve done without him

My husband was being treated for an ear infection for over a year by a well-known doctor in Sweetwater. Also, during that time, he had Bell's palsy. My husband gave up taking antibiotics because they were not helping with the pain in his ear. He was also having severe vertigo, causing him to stagger. When I questioned that doctor if the change in blood pressure meds he made for my husband would do that he said, "If that's the only side effect he is having, he can live with it." At that time something told me to get another opinion. A friend of mine was going to Dr. Pershing and suggested my husband see him. He was not accepting any new patients at the time, but he took my husband in anyway. All Dr. Pershing had to do was see him walk down the hall and just about knew it was a brain tumor! He scheduled a MRI that afternoon and after getting the results still that day, Dr. Pershing had us come in late that afternoon to advise us that it was a brain tumor. Before we left that… day, he called and made my husband an appointment with an excellent neurosurgeon, Dr. Robert Fanelli in Knoxville. After looking at the MRI, Dr. Fanelli said, "It is BIG! Why wasn't this diagnosed earlier?" It was an acoustic neuroma brain tumor behind his ear. If my husband would not have seen Dr. Pershing, he would be dead by now. Dr. Pershing really cares for his patients, he encourages them to take control of their own health. Something more doctors should do! I read the negative comments on this website about him, and can't relate it to the Dr. Pershing we know. His staff is great, they have changed over time but left for their own reasons, nothing to do about working for Dr. Pershing.

I have had oral lichen planus for almost 20 years. I have been told that there is no cure. Dr. Pershing did not agree with that. He has been treating me for about a month and it is slowly going away without having to take any drugs. I thank God for Dr. Pershing, and his care for me.

I had been very sick with hashimoto to the point I could barely walk, I had been to several drs and they told me they couldn’t help me that hashimoto was something I would have to deal with the rest of my life. One of the best physician that I have known in my 30+ years career in the health care industry. He is excellent in patient care and communicates complex medical diagnosis in an easily understood manner.

Extremely professional and caring individual. We drive almost an hour from our residence just to see him for all our needs. I especially appreciate the fact that he doesn't rush into giving us pharmaceutical drugs for ailments. He believes that less is best when it comes to medications, and that vitamins and a healthy living style contributes to our well-being. Dr. Pershing is one of the best physicians that we have ever had for our family.

Took complete history, thorough exam and plenty of time for conversation to casually raise any other issues or concerns. Cares about the whole person, not just symptom's. Avoids prescribing unnecessary drugs. Encourages healthy habits. Two referrals we're to super docs.

I went to Dr Pershing because I was tired of taking medications . With his help I am now medication free. I no longer have blood pressure and gout issues. He is kind and takes his time.
