Dr. Stephen Francis Shaban, MD

Horrible person. Influencing young drs . Known as the serpant.

Something went wrong during procedure with this doctor. Doctor sent me home immediately after woke up, despite problems. Then, I decided to find another doctor, but Dr. Shaban somehow found out about my appointment and called new doctor to intervene. Amazing! An unprofessional, callous, money hungry, terrible doctor.

To sum it up, he’s a condescending SOB

For years, I have been a patient of Dr. Shaban. He is direct and down to Earth. When I required a surgery, Dr. Shaban explained I had waited too long and my outcome may not be optimal. He explained all the pros and cons of the surgery and what to expect afterwards. My surgery went well and I am generally pleased with the outcome. Dr. Shaban's office is very busy and has been through changes over the years I have seen him. His scheduler and nurse are both personable and attentive to my needs.

Dr. Shaban botched a simple procedure for my husband. He is incompetent, used profanity in the operating room, is cavalier and is generally unfit to practice medicine. He does more harm than good, and he should not have a license to practice in the US. STAY AWAY FROM THIS AWFUL DOCTOR!!!!

Great Doctor- Really cares

Dr. Shabon has prescribed medicine for my urinary incontinence problem. He also used a cystoscope. I did not realize that I was having this procedure done until shortly beforehand. I'm glad I didn't because I became very anxious. Although it was an unpleasant procedure, it was not as bad as I had imagined.

I had a problem with my bladder after outpatient surgery. The hospital referred me to Dr. Shaban. I saw him a couple times that week. Then I was hospitalized for three days. The hospital tried to get Dr. Shaban to come by to see me, but he told them he doesn't make calls. Then three days later I'm being wheel chaired out on run into Dr. Shaban making a call in the hospital. I started seeing him in his office after my release. He informed me I would need to start using a catheter maybe permanently because of my bladder wasn't working correctly. I used it for a week then went to my family doctor. He put me on some medication and had my bladder working in a couple days. Don't punish yourself by going to him.

I actually have no issue with Dr. Shaban; I never actually got to see him as my first visit ended up with much frustration due to the poorly managed office. There were 4 patients booked for appointments at 8:30 AM Monday morning with more at 8:45. It is physically impossible to handle that kind of a patient load, so it is not surprising that they were already running late that day. I can't imagine it got any better as the day went on. The other big complaint - I took the time & effort to fill out all the new patient information online a week ahead of my appointment, but it was no where to be found come appointment day. The office staff was not rude but not exactly competent either - too much for them to have to do to keep up with that many patients and appointments.

Very approachable and personable Does not mislead. Is frank and to the point. Procedure was swift concise and painless. I would thoroughly recommend.
