Do yourself a favor and skip this guy. This was absolutely the worst experience I have EVER. He is ALWAYS 40 mins behind yet they want you to show up for your appointment 15 mins early. It was an hour past my appointment time when he finally decided to show up. Many Dr's have delays but this is chronic-happens EVERY TIME. This man has a real I am GOD complex. As I was leaving he and I were standing at the front counter, I turned and started to ask him a question, He refused to answer, turn his back on me and walked away. When I brought this up at the next appointment I was told my medical issues were too complicated for him and he told me to find another doctor. What a quack

STAY AWAY!!! If you are looking for a competent PCP who doesn’t make you wait up to 90 min for every appt, one who isn’t arrogant, rude, belittling, insulting and condescending, a PCP who actually cares about your health and demonstrates it by listening to your history and severity of symptoms, a PCP who doesn’t insist the specialists who have been treating you for years don’t have a clue - but he sure does, a PCP who doesn’t laugh at you and dismiss your discomfort when you try to get him to listen, a PCP who tells you are wrong about your own medical history, a PCP who seems to lack basic diagnostic skills, a PCP who doesn’t rudely walk out of the appointment of every visit when you are still talking, a PCP who will not apologize when proven wrong… then keep looking. Dr. Sigmund is all of this and worse- he is a woefully poor reflection on the medical profession. Fortunately, there are much better PCPs in the are so keep looking and if you value your health - STAY AWAY!!!

In interviewing for a new PCP, Dr Sigmund told me he does not Rx female hormones (HRT), any & all benzodiazepones (Valium, Xanax, etc), opiates (Vicodin to Morphine) & psychotropic meds (mood stabilizers, anti-depressants, meds to treat bipolar disease). So .. just WTH does he actually do & what diseases does he actually treat??

Dr. Stephen Sigmund is very knowledgeable on many medical topics and drugs, partly because of his research work prior to private practice. A unique personality, but a great doctor.

Dr. Sigmund has been my physician for 9 years. He has been a good doctor as far as treating my ailments. So that is a good thing. However, he can be incredibly rude, condescending and petulant. He becomes defensive and arrogant if he doesn't know something. On two occasions, I was another doctor for treatment in a different specialty area. This really tees him off. I have great insurance and I don't need him to "approve" my treatments with other doctors. He is always kept in the loop but he totally flew off the handle because he didn't know about it. I agree with other commentators that he strings you out on appointments that aren't really necessary. The wait times are horrific and he sometimes seems a little "goofy" . Yesterday was the last visit I will have with him. There are better physicians out there who won't cut you off in conversation and who will REALLY listen. He just acts like he does.

If you value your health and the health of your loved ones, you will not use this doctor's services. At every appointment, he will not remember much if anything about you or your history until he looks at his laptop. He becomes angry when you ask questions about your treatment plan. He can never be wrong about anything, and has tantrums when you point out even simple errors that he's made.
