Dr. Stephen Arthur Sturtz

I am extremely upset, because I've been seeing Dr. Sturtz for years. He was a great doctor at one time, but in the past few years, he just rushes you through. He does not check the medications that you are taking before he prescribes them to me, which I've had an allergic reaction, and researched that I could not take one medication with the other. In addition, I have stomach, kidney and liver problems, so I have to be extremely careful what I take. I informed him of the supplements that I take, but was never told they could have a reaction with the several medications that I am taking, so I have to be my own doctor. The only reason I found out that I have diabetes is because a new temporary nurse pointed it out to the doctor. Prior to that, he never told me anything about having diabetes. I was in tears, because my mom passed away from diabetic complications. When I went to see him, during this epidemic, and the only reason I went was because I truly was not well, he was more afraid… of me, than I was of him, and I am the one with the underline conditions. I do have to admit that they prepared well for the coronavirus. I mentioned to the nurse that I believe I am having a reaction to the last medication I was prescribed, and she told the doctor. Instead of him finding out what was wrong and diagnose me, he just told me to stop the medication for two weeks, so basically I diagnosed myself, which by the way, was not the problem, because I am still not well. Someone actually canceled my medication, which was not what was suppose to happen. Then, I could not get them filled at CVS. But, this is not the worse part, the staff was great at one time, but now they have two young ladies with an attitude problem. I needed to follow up on one of my medications, and the person who answered told me she could not assist me and referred me to the nurse, instead of finding out what she had to do to assist me. I've been receiving this medication for years, and the person who processed this medication retired, but before she left she assured me that everyone at the front desk knew the process, and that I should not have a problem, but this is not the case. All of a sudden no one knows how to process my medication, or does not want to know how to process my urgently needed medication, that I cannot miss. As a matter of fact, several of the staff members processed the medication before. That was fine, but I left a message, because she is extremely busy. Fine, but I came to find out that she did not get my message. In addition, lately they don't answer the phones. I've called two days in a role, several times, regarding my medications, and have yet to get through. It goes to a voice message that state's that they are closed at 2, 3, or 4 pm, when I know for sure they are open (business hours). In addition, you can't leave a message. I think he better look into replacing these staff members before he looses his practice. He better improve his services, as well. I would hate to loss my doctor, but I am truly thinking about looking for another doctor, because my health is in danger!

Dr Sturtz should retire.He has no idea what he’s doing anymore.Hes uncaring and too old to practice.I was sick in the Spring and I asked for help numerous times and he just blew me off and he was supposedly never in the office and now he’s abruptly stopped my medication that I’ve been on for Years and my body hurts all over..I’m so sick and now I need to find a new Dr who’s competent.He Needs to retire ASAP

His wrong diagnoses caused my sister’s death!

The other dr that retired was more professional this dr needs to take lessons from him and he took me off my necessary medicines which now I hurt all over

I've been seeing doctor Sturtz for many years now and I have always found him to be a very caring doctor who takes my health personally. The staff is great. Every one of them greats me with a smile and are also very attentive to my needs. I highly recommend Dr. Sturtz to anyone looking for a new doctor.

This doctor is wonderful... His bedside manner, professional care, helpful staff. You really can't ask for a better family doctor.
