Dr. Steve Anthony Lequerica, MD

Dr. Lequerica is wonderful! He listened to all of my symptoms and took everything I said seriously before doing his exam. He ordered an MRI of my brain and one of my back and because of that, was able to determine that I had a stroke. If it wasn’t for his call to request that I go to get a full stroke evaluation at hackensack hospital, I wouldn’t know what was going on with me. I’m now on the path of recovery and having all of my follow up appts to determine next steps. I’m so grateful to have such a great neurologist in my corner.

Excellent service

I generally don’t leave reviews on-line but I read the reviews of dr. Laquerica ans his staff and I am truly stumped by the negative reviews. Of course I’m not questioning anyone’s personal experiences with this group but it is just so glaringly different from any experience I have had with this group. I started out seeing Dr. Knep and when he announced his retirement I was very concerned about finding another doctor with his knowledge and compassion. I also enjoyed the staff in this group as well so I decided to give Dr. Laquerica to be wonderful. He was patient, knowledgeable, answered any questions or concerns that I had and didn’t end my appointment until I was fully satisfied with any information and treatment plan we had discussed for my multiple sclerosis. I truly can not recommend him highly enough. The staff in the office has actually gone above and beyond in the well over 10 years I have been going there. I personally am very happy with this group.

Very dissatisfied with my visit. I waited 3 months to see the doctor and am sorry I did. His receptionist was rude because I couldn’t find my insurance card right away. Dr. Lequerica did nothing about my dizziness, simply told me to keep taking the pills I’m taking, which I told him aren’t working. Now I need to find a new neurologist that actually cares.

Staff has the worst phone habits. Scheduling appointment is a nightmare as well as requesting assistance over phone. It is nearly impossible to resolve an issue over the phone with staff who usually dodge tasks and leave you hanging or are quick to use divert to voice mail answering service and never get back to you. Not worth all the aggravation.

I have been with Dr. Lequerica since he diagnosed me with Myasthenia Gravis in 1995. He followed me through my testing and surgery and has always been available to answer any questions I might have. He is an excellent physician who genuinely cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone who is seeing a top notch neurologist.
