Dr. Steven John Barad, MD

Violation of patient privacy rights, violation of patient confidentiality rights, illegal harassment to patient, racial discrimination to patient, racial favoritism that caused emotional abuse to patient, patient neglect not contacting patient, refused patients rights to certain medical treatment procedures and wrongful billing to patient!

Dr. Barad took the time to explain everything he wanted to do in detail. When the surgery was completed, he made sure that all of my questions were answered and that physical therapy was requested for approval. He has a great bedside manner and explained things in a way that I could understand. I would recommend him to any of my friends needing this type of specialty doctor.

I was referred to the doc over 3 years ago with a rotator repair. He was magnificent, a charm to speak with and informative. Straight forward, no sugar coating anything and he makes you feel you can speak openly about your issues and gives you answers, no fluff. I will be unfortunately visiting him again for a different procedure, but that goes to show you, I'm only letting him touch these lovely shoulders :D

my son in law had dislocated is shoulder as a child, now by the age of 50, he had dislocated his shoulder over 20 times, the latest being the most painful and severe, Dr Barad reconstructed the rotator cuff, rebuilt the glenoid joint and told him he would never dislocate it again. Ken did fantastically well and is now playing ice hockey, he does everything without problems. As a physician in northern California I checked with my colleagues regarding who was best in the area and repeatedly heard the name of Dr Barad, I am so glad we found him, if i needed joint surgery, no one else would be doing it but him

An exceptional doctor. Knows what he's talking about. Knows what he's doing. Gives his patients a sense of confidence. Courteous, approachable. Wish he would give his patients more time (instead of a mere 5 minutes!) to talk about their concern, but then I guess time is money for him. As a surgeon, he does great work. One could not have asked for a more skilful doctor. Regarding making appojntments, if you already have one, don't try to change it. Because your next appointment would be at least 6 weeks or more later. The clerk is totally unsympathethic to your explanation, nor would she consider trying to fit you in earlier even when you tell her you're in pain.

Very knowledgeable. I loved his bedside manner, made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I would recommend him to others even though he is a "Raider fan." All in all a positive experience all the way around.

The time Dr. Barad put into getting to know me and things about me made me much more comfortable and confident that he would do the job with care. I've talked to so many surgeons who treat patients like paychecks. Dr. Barad very clearly does not. From a medical standpoint, he made sure that he asked all the questions necessary to perform the surgery to my needs as an athlete. I'm one month out from surgery and making great process. My shoulder is feeling stable and my range of motion is improving every day without pain or tension. Everything feels how it should.
