Dr. Steven Bower, MD

I arrived at 10:45 am for my 11 am appointment. I was brought back to the room where I waited until 12:17 pm until Dr.Bower came into the room. Immediately was told he couldn't do anything for me but maybe his partner could. The nurse walks out, comes back, and says "if it's warranted." Mind you, I have had this issue for 20 years, and up until this past year, I have had issues. It was like he only thought I was there for a tummy tuck. Ridiculous. I could have had a tummy tuck in the last 20 years, but I have pain and something protruding that I can actually push back in. I do NOT recommend if you are a woman with diastasis recti. He doesn't fully listen and wants to draw you a picture of something you are 100% versed in! The counter woman and nurse are nice. Please review new patient information before they come in so you are NOT waisting my time nor yours. I left at 12:21 PM

Read the comment ‘ powered by God’ in Dr Bowers Waiting room on my initial consult for gall bladder removal. This patient was so accurate in describing my own personal experience with him. From my initial consult to my surgery, Dr Bower took the time and patience to answer and allay all my fears about surgery and showed nothing but care, concern , competence in his field and extreme professionalism. Add to this he is an extremely spiritual man which my husband and I are too. As my husband described to me after we came out of the initial consult with me, ‘ it was a surreal experience’. I cannot describe it, he’s like on earth doing Gods work. Add to this a successful surgery with quick recovery time. I would recommend Dr Bower. You will be in extremely good hands.

I did have to wait, but after consultation, I would gladly wait twice as long. He is kind, considerate and thorough.

The wait to get an appointment might be long but that is because he is the best and everyone wants Dr Bower as their surgeon. The wait will also be long in the office but he will give you and every patient he sees all the time needed to address any questions or concerns you have. Simply the best around.

Appointment was at 330 did get in tell almost 5pm.

Not so great for a first impression. Called the Doctors office my self this morning as they had not called me to make an appointment for a consult. The lady insisted that they had received no referral which when she looked ,she had from my PCP. Then I get told there are no appointments for a consult until Aug 29th. I asked her that I did require surgery and wouldn't it be possible this week just for a consult to such I was told she couldn't fit me in anywhere and that if I was in bad pain to go to the DR. That is pretty obvious. No sympathy and no manners. I hope Sr Bower will be a better experience. His staff needs,to improve their customer service.

This is the second surgery Dr. Bower has performed on me. He is very thorough on explaining what is going to occur. It does take awhile to get in to see him and you do have to wait in his office as he gets called away often for emergencies because of his skill.

Doctor Bower is a gift from God, finding out you have cancer is scary and then you're experience feelings and things you never felt before. He is a true gentleman and I love the idea he prays with at every visit. There is one nurse in his office that really needs to go you are working with cancer patients why in this world would anyone want someone like her working in such a fine office. Don't know her name but she's got brown hair and glasses, she needs to go work building houses or cars where there are no human feelings involved.

My husband who is battling cancer had a port and feeding peg put in by Dr. Bower great doctor and very compassionate
