Dr. Steven Kichan Chon, MD

Dr. Chon has saved my life! About 3 years ago, I went to my regular doctor for a yearly physical. Some parts came out abnormal, and the doctor told me that he will refer me to a GI specialist for further testing. It took forever for the doctor to give me a referral and about 2 months later, I was finally able to see a GI. That GI doctor also did some testing and told me that I may have pancreatic cancer, but I would need another referral and a further testing. However, that referral never happened due to reasons I never understood. From what I knew about pancreatic cancer, it spreads fast and extremely difficult to treat. I could not just sit and wait, so I sought out for 2nd opinion, and found Dr. Chon. I explained my situation, and immediately he was concerned. He got things done super fast to where I was able to be admitted and get tested right away. He was very proactive and informed me and my family exactly what was going on. I was able to get a biopsy done and find a… wonderful oncologist right away. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, but thanks to Dr. Chon’s quick and precise action and treatments from my oncologist, I am still alive and going strong 3 years later. Thank you, Dr. Chon!

I the past I avoided seeing a primary care doctor, because I did not see real value. However all that changed around 2016, when I was referred to Dr. Chon. He shows genuine concern about my well-being. How does he demonstrate his concern, he takes the time to explain what my current condition is, how I may have gotten there, and what to do to help my body recover. In addition his staff is friendly and helpful. He and his staff gets 5 stars from me.

He is the most compassionate and generous doc I've ever seen! I recently lost my job, along with my insurance. I got really sick, but didn't want to go to the doctor since I don't have insurance. I just called Dr. Chon's office for some recommendations for over-the-counter meds. But he had me come in and waved the office visit fee. Turned out, I had the flu and really needed to be seen. You don't see that kind of generosity from doctors these days. Thank you, Dr. Chon!

Dr. Chon is 2nd to none. He is brilliant, kind, caring, and makes you believe that you are his only patient. You cannot find a better doctor !!

Very professional, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable.I asked a lot of questions (some not related to the primary purpose of the visit), but Dr. Chon took his time to explain thoroughly and in simple terms. He also gave me several good tips to treat my symptoms without relying on meds. This is how the doc visits should be--I already felt much better leaving the office, knowing I was getting good care.

Dr. Chon was the attending while my mother was in the hospital; he is courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and has super bedside manner. He visits his patient in early morning, so the patient and the family don't have to wait all day. I, highly, recommend this doctor.
