Dr. Steven Marc Colagiovanni, MD

Have had very good experience with him for several years For the most part visits have been routine follow ups because of repeated urinary track infections. Most recently he performed some minor surgery which unfortunately led to a catheter and an infection which put me in the hospital for several days. The original issue has been corrected and things are back to normal.

He takes on too many patients and isn’t available when you need him. Left messages about needing an in home nurse for my mom and I never got a phone call back. It’s now been weeks. My mom has to wear a catheter for the rest of her life and I called because she had pain in her lower right side of her stomach, the earliest they could see her was 5 days later. Well, she ended up in the ER because she had a blocked catheter tube. If you are the rare soul who actually gets to speak to the dr, he will give you 10 seconds of his time. He doesn’t like anyone questioning his decisions. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. He is always overbooked which is why the quality of care is at its lowest. He doesn’t have time to deal with questions. He definitely has not given my mom the quality of care she deserves.

I was interested in having a tiny, barely detectable cyst removed for cosmetic reasons only. Dr. Colagiovanni did not inform me of what excising the cyst would be like and ended up making an incision an inch long to remove something smaller than a BB. The surgery was for comesmetic reasons, and Dr. Colagionanni gave me a scar 10 times worse than the cyst itself was. If I had actually been informed as a patient about what to expect, I never would have made this choice, and Dr. Colagiovanni should have informed me that the surgery would be far more invasive than any reasonable person would assume. I consider the entire experience gross negligence on his part and he did more harm than good. I wish I'd never heard his name.

In today's fast paced world of medicine I was pleasantly surprised to receive not one but two personal calls from Dr Colagiovanni checking on me after I had a procedure done. This type of care is the exception not the rule in medicine today. Thank you Dr Colagiovanni.

To begin with, the office staff appeared to be very unorganized. Either they were overbooked or they just can’t handle the amount of appointments that they book. Standing room only in the waiting room. As far as this guy, he doesn’t seem interested in what you have to say or in any questions you may have. He read the diagnosis, gave a couple of options and did a quick examination which included a prostrate exam which he didn’t tell me he was going to do until I was already laying on the table with my shorts down. This was not even what I was there for. Told me to get up, handed me a few tissues to clean up and asked me what I want to do. Obviously, I had a few questions which he quickly answered as he was opening the door to send me back to the office staff. I was still asking him questions as we were walking down the hallway in front of other people. Seemed very uninterested in my situation as he escorted me back to the desk so I could check out. To top it off, the staff… member that checked me out handed me a lab order and told me that I was all set and to call them if I need them. This was a horrible experience and pretty much a waste of time. I would not recommend this guy or his staff to anyone regardless of whether he’s a good doctor or not.

I went there for a consultation for microscopic blood in my urine. The man did not tell me I was having a pelvic exam and came in, grabbed my legs and held them far apart. Then, from the side, shoved his whole hand all the way up my vagina, very hard and very fast until my pelvic bone vibrated. I sat up and gasped. Then he said "oh I am doing a pelvic exam" then he took his fist and went up and down in my vagina. Then he rubbed me on the outside of my genitals. Then he put his hand back in and let it sit there. He knows what he did although he will get away with it! He violated me! He is a creep!! Stay away!!!

First off the staff in the office is very poor I’ve called a few times to get information for me two separate occasions I said I will call you back never ever on both occasions did I ever receive a call back you don’t tell a client that will call you back and you never receive a call it’s like hanging me out to dry done with that now here comes the doctor for the most part he’s very professional I just had a procedure and this is not the first one let’s just say this is about number five with Dr. Steven and I just feel after the procedure That the doctor should come in talk to you I don’t like being left in the dark just an honest person with an honest point of you thanks

Dr Colagiovanni is a great Dr! He even came in to operate on my dad on his day off! He has been compassionate and caring to my dad. Very professional, and knowledgeable in his field. Five stars

Dr. Colagiovanni is a super compassionate and just overall an amazing surgeon! I had to have several surgeries about a week apart due to a large kidney stone. The first time just having a stent put in and he called me on Sunday to see how I was feeling and if I needed anything. He actually takes the time to answer any questions you may have and I never felt rushed along. I work at Roger Williams hospital but had to go to where Dr. C was at Fatima and he even requested an all female staff so I would feel more comfortable! I had an amazing experience all three times. My surgeon of course is amazing, as is all the staff from check in, to preop, to the OR circulator and surgical tech, and to the recovery room nurses! I highly highly recommend Dr. Colagiovanni! Such an amazing doctor!!

He is very uncommunicative, office staff is hard to get in touch with. staffing took a while to get an authorization for a Cat Scan. Seem to be very unorganized.
