I highly recommend Dr. Cyr and his PA Mary Vuong. I had a lumbar fusion of my last two discs performed 9 months ago and am very happy with my results. Prior to my surgery, I had burning sciatica pain and I could not sit for very long. At first, I was hesitant about having the surgery, but Dr. Cyr and Mary answered all my questions and concerns. I am so happy I got over that fear and had the procedure done. I am in physical therapy now and doing well. I was referred to Dr. Cyr by a close relative of mine who has over 15 years of surgery experience with a number of spine surgeons in the Houston and Sugar Land area. He has always been impressed with how meticulous Dr. Cyr is in performing his surgeries. Dr. Cyr is a top-notch surgeon and Mary Vuong has been wonderful with advice along the way. There are not enough words to tell you about this Dr. I had three lumbar surgeries before coming to San Antonio. I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk. Dr. Cry and his staff laid out a plan. His work was superior and his staff were on top of everything he needed. Later he had to do my cervical surgery. Again, he didn’t disappoint. His love for healing is unparalleled. His surgical staff saved my life. I am forever greatful. I still go for check ups. His office staff is kind. He always has a word of pray and I appreciate that.

Absolutely “THE BEST” Top Tier Surgeon & Staff I was referred by another spine surgeon to Dr. Cyr after two previous laminectomies, years of physical therapy, decompression therapy, two years of radio frequency ablations, and many more years of pain pills and suffering with back pain. After looking Dr. Cyr on the internet, I was impressed with his credentials; having trained at Mayo Clinic and having served as the Chief of Air Force Spine Surgery and Spine Surgery Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force and Pentagon. I figured that he would be the best choice on which to seek spinal fusion surgery and so I was expectantly looking forward to meeting with him and discussing my options as all other attempts at alleviating my back pain had been exhausted. I was so encouraged after my first appointment. His staff spends ample time with the patient and explains in detail what to expect and what not to expect. The doctor does not even begin surgery until after conducting three… extensive diagnostic tests in order to 1) ensure you’re a candidate for spinal fusion, and 2) to pinpoint the exact cause and area of the pain so it can be treated properly. Scheduling went very smooth as my surgery was performed at Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital First Colony (near Sugarland) which in it self is a Top Tier facility. They took wonderful care of me during my five days of in-hospital recovery. This surgery is not to be undertaken lightly. Dr. Cyr is very strict on his expectations during recovery. The patient is expected to follow through with his instructions; especially during the first three to six months post surgery. Along with the recovery time SA Spine schedules timely and frequent follow-up appointments; every three months following surgery. In addition the offices are available and respond quickly to questions either by phone or email. I have not been disappointed and I know I made the right choice. For me the results have been excellent!! Most importantly “No More Back Pain”. I highly recommend Dr. Cyr and SA Spine.

I had a severe snowboarding accident in 2015 where I shattered the middle of my spine from a 30ft fall. I was about to graduate high school on a full ride to run track at texas state university. I thankfully found Dr. Cyr who reassured me I could have my life back again. I was terrified of having my spine fused together, but Dr. Cyr made me feel so secure with the procedure. Most doctors I saw prior were uncertain of my future and scared to work on me. However, because of the amazing work done by Dr. Cyr and his incredible team, I gained my life back and so much more. I lost all my athletic scholarships after breaking my back in 2015 and never knew if I'd be an athlete again. Well fast-forward a few years to 2022, I currently compete as a professional cyclist and have complete control of my health and life again. I'm easily in the best shape of my life and have never felt better. I will ALWAYS recommend Dr. Cyr and his team if you have suffered an injury as unfortunate as mine. Waited over a year and a half to just get a consult with Dr.Cyr which never happened. Saw another surgeon immediately!

I can't say enough about Dr. Cyr, mostly because he took care of me as if I was a family member. His bedside manner is truly outstanding and so compassionate. I recommend Dr. Cyr and his SASpine team 100%. If it hadn't been for Dr. Cyr's excellent work I would not have healed so quickly and gotten my life back.
