Dr. Steven Bernard Diamond, DO

After going to Dr. Diamond for over five years now, he's become increasingly insensitive, aggressive, and unprofessional as a psychiatrist. We switched to consultations over the phone. After an average of 10 minutes maximum for our phone consultations, it seems his only intent is to prescribe medication that is convenient for him (regardless of whether it is in the client's best interest), and then to get off the phone as quickly as possible. He has actually had the audacity to tell me that he doesn't have "time" to discuss continued treatment and different approaches after I waited a half hour for him to call me back during my lunch break. On one occasion, when I had tried to tell him that my symptoms worsened and provided background research for him to look at, he actually screamed at me, imposing his own personal biases on my treatment without even reading the very expensive testing that I had sent to him weeks prior. After I Ieft a voicemail cancelling our next appointment, he… halfheartedly apologized for what appeared to be with the sole intent of keeping a client. I am personally disgusted and offended with his behavior and attitude and would say Dr. Diamond is completely unprofessional, biased, insensitive, and has little to no regard for what may be in his patients' best interest if it means more of his time will be spent on personalized care- even with clients who already struggle with anxiety, depression, etc.

I've been seeing him for years. I find him easy to connect with and trust him with my medical care.

Dr. Diamond is nothing but a nightmare to me.. After putting a serverly depressed person on a "high" dose of lorazepam.. He has the nerve to blame me and tell me in his exact words "how dare I abuse his trust by trying OFF MYSELF with medication he prescribes. He then kicked me and my mother out of his office to take another patient who had been eating bc that patient had a family to go home too. I guess I was not as important or did not have a family to go home to either. Regardless this man is terrible and a lil creepy. Stay away!!!! You've been warned!!!

During my first meeting with "Dr" Diamond, I took he through me my entire history, which included a lot off information that is very difficult to talk about. After the emotion pain of doing this, and even after telling him what a major depression I was in, this doctor had the nerve to tell me he didn't have time to treat me and I should find another doctor. It would have been much less hurtful to be told he wasn't taking new patients over the phone. Who lefts someone in a depression leave their office without proper medication?!

If only all psychiatrist's had his ease, intellect and caring, we would have a better place in the world of mental health.
