I had an endoscopy on Thursday, Aug 1. Staff were excellent and upon discharge was given a small bottle of a GI Cocktail with instructions that it should be taken as needed for "throat pain" (1T every 4 hours). The pain came back with a vengeance on Saturday morning and I have now taken 3 doses with NO RELIEF! Nothing helps - lozenges, cough suppressants) NOTHING is helping! and the bottle is getting low! It feels like my esophagus did when I walked into the office before the procedure. Please have someone call me as I didn't see a "Contact Us" tab on your web site. I know it is the weekend, but I need help without going to an emergency room. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible! Dr. Faber is the best Gastroenterology that I have been. He cares for his patients and takes good care of them. I would recommend everyone to him.

After many years under Dr. Faber's care, I needed his help once again. Due to the nature of my illness, a colonoscopy needed to be done. Dr. Faber got me in for the procedure and I was immediately admitted to the Sentara Medical facility in Elizabeth City. I spent a week there and couldn't have asked for better nursing care. HOWEVER, the Sentara Medical hospital doctors seem to do all they can, to squeeze the local specialists out of their hospital. I can NOT understand why they wouldn't welcome the caring, GOOD, local physicians to join them in healing their patients. A physician who has seen a patient for YEARS, knows them much better than a hospital doctor who sees them for maybe 5 minutes. Evidently, money, greed, and maybe jealousy prevail at Sentara. It's such a shame that Sentara has such super wonderful nurses, food service, housekeeping, and then such narrow minded administrators. Dr. Faber WILL be MY doctor and, I'm sure, Sentara will continue to be the transfer station and… first aid station for this area. In my humble opinion, they have obliterated all the past works of the locals who began that little hospital and actually turned it into a good place to be cared for. Now, both patients and money are being shipped to Virginia. This town HAD a really good thing going with the Albemarle Hospital; too bad they didn't find a capable person to run it instead of selling out. I have a friend who had been set up for a colon check at the hospital on the 19th of Feb, 2019. After enduring the two day, unpleasant 'prep' the HOSPITAL called them and canceled their colonoscopy! This was NOT Dr. Faber's doing and I do hope every patient involved knows that....if they're still living. What kind of hospital DOES such a thing?! I'm not a smart man...more of an idiot; but the things that the administrators of Sentara are doing, are causing much harm to the patients and workers who pay for and keep that little hospital in business. I apologize for the long babble, but Dr. Faber has always done his very best for his patients; it's just a shame that a few money handlers can alter the lives of so many innocent people needing good medical care. Thank you and especially thank you to Dr. Faber. I do hope I haven't angered my doctor. He wouldn't tell me what's going on, but I did manage to find a little information on my own. Stick with Dr. Faber....you couldn't find a better, smarter, more progressive doctor who WILL fight to get you as healthy as possible. What more can anyone want?!

Dr. Faber has the best treatment and bedside manner ever. He is instrumental in extending my life! Terrific office personnel and fabulous doctor.

I had an endoscopy done with Dr. Faber. He and the nurses doing the procedure were excellent. However, you have to get through the front end staff first and there's the problem. My issues with them range from overhearing one of the front end staff call a patient an a**hole after she hung up with him to my own issues with trying to reach the nurse I had the day before because of an allergic reaction I was having to the anesthesia. When I called and asked to speak with the nurse the response was "She not here, just call back on Monday". When I explained I was having a reaction and needed to speak to the nurse I was told they would try to get her to call me. She never called but, I am pretty sure nobody tired to reach her either.

I recently had a EGD and colonoscopy performed by Dr Faber. I could not have had any better care. Dr Faber and his staff are awesome. He acts as though you are the only patient he is seeing during the office visit. He explained everything he was going to do and answered any questions I had. Dr Faber has the best bedside manner. He talks to you not at you. I would recommend Dr Faber for any gastro problems one might have. He's the BEST.

After receiving infusions at the local hospital for over 15 years, my primary insurance refused to pay for more. ONLY due to the persistence of Dr. Faber and Sherry, of his staff, was I able to be approved, for my full dose, of a drug that has given me a much better quality of life for so long. This physician and his staff are some of the most caring people I've known in the medical field. They WILL help you with your gastro. problems with the utmost consideration. I have an ugly illness, but have been fortunate to have such wonderful people to help.

Dr Faber said to schedule a 2 week follow up after my unnecessary colonoscopy however I guess the staff can't count they made the appointment for 30 days and then when I called to confirm the appointment they told me that they had cancelled everyones appointments because the nurse quit. WOW! Had blood drawn to test for Celiac disease, test come back abnormal (showed up on my patient portal) However was told that my blood work was normal by the office! Was told I had IBS by Dr Faber. I knew there was something severely wrong with me, I was in too much pain at that time. But when I took the same lab work to my family doctor he said DO not eat anymore food with Gluten in it and you will be fine. I think this Doctors office just likes to shake down everyone' insurance company! That's why whether you need it or not if you come to him you are getting a colonoscopy and an EDG done, and then told nothing is wrong with you so he can run some more insurance money up. Feel very violated now,… in more ways than one. What a jerk playing with peoples lives and pain. You go in there with severe abdominal pain and the front desk schedules you an appointment for 60 days later. Hows that for caring about your patients?

Dr. Faber obviously loves his job and cares about his patients. His early diagnosis of my dear husband's cancer very probably saved his life!
