The staff were all courteous and very nice. The doctor I saw on the other hand was very smug and dismissive. I thought I was going to get some relief from my pain but instead was being groomed for more injections and treatments which I had just explained I had been through and wasn’t looking for another set of treatments to waste my money on. When I asked what I was supposed to do in the meantime for my pain, I got no answer, so I asked about pain medication and was told “We don’t do that” . I truly felt disrespected and made to feel like I was some junkie trying to get meds. I’ve been in pain for long time and this was last thing I needed.

Prior to a nerve test (EMG) my research revealed that the test can be painful and unpleasant. I was anxious about the procedure. During the procedure my anxiety was immediately gone. NO PAIN. Dr. Gershon provided a completely pain free nerve study. It is obvious to me that the pain felt by a patient during this procedure is clearly determined by the skill of the physician. Dr. Gershon has perfected a method of administering this procedure that is pain-free for patients. Other physicians clearly need to study his method and follow suit. I highly recommend Dr. Gershon for a painless EMG study.

Have been going there for 10 yrs. and I love the practice. I have gotten great care and Dr. Gershon & Charlie have both diagnosed and treated myself and my son each for a disease no other doctor could figure out. I have recommended this place to several of my friends and the ones that have gone there have been happy with their treatment there.

Billed 3 years later due to disarray of files. Do not put through my insurance company and put charges on my bill For services not rendered. Refer me to his lawyer to sue due to being in a motor vehicle accident, then proceeded to put charges on my account that did not Happen

Billed 3 years later because their filing system is in disarray for services not provided. Sent the patient to the doctors lawyer to sue the other driver in a motor vehicle accident. Had the patient sign a lien and did not explain they would not be billing the insurance company. The patient did not proceed with the lawyer and ended being billed for services not rendered. That is a shady deal

I shadowed Dr. Gershon for an entire day. Whenever possible, he took time to teach me about his methods and procedures. He truly cares about his patients and ensures that they receive the best possible care. I am baffled by some of these reviews. In my time with Dr. Gershon, he barely sat down. He was constantly running around from patient to patient, consulting with other doctors and doing everything in his power to alleviate his patients' pain. Dr. Gershon is compassionate, competent, and down-to-earth. I'll be referring all of my friends and family to him!

I just moved back to Virginia Beach. While in GA I had an L5 spinal fusion. I was in a great pain management practice post surgery as I am experiencing problems with my hardware and the recommendation is for the hardware to be removed once my spine has fused. I was on a low dose of Percocet daily and Mobic when needed. I saw Dr Gershon for all of 5 minutes. I had to sit and endure a proud lecture about how their practice doesn’t prescribe opioids. He yanked me off the opioids...ordered al kinds of tests...xrays...PT...and discussed spinal injections. I have has all these tests and PT and spinal injections didn’t help. I tried to tell him and his aloof, doesn’t make eye contact, treats you like you don’t know your own body Nurse practioner, doesn’t listen to you Charlie my history. Neither seemed to care. He gave me a script for Butrans patch. A MEDICATION MY INSURANCE doesn’t cover! The prescription authorization sat at his office for a week. I had to call the office myself… on a Friday to get things moving and was told they close at noon and no clinical staff were there. I had to pay 300 dollars for some patch I wasn’t sure was going to work but might help with withdraw from Percocet. They could care less. The girl who answered the phone raised her voice at me and said... I told you the insurance person leaves at 12. So I am on the patch for a couple of days...I have a constant headache, muscle aches, and raging pain from my back to my foot. Thanks Doc...sarcasm...what a horrible experience. Reading reviews on new pain management clinics.

I don’t understand how a doctor who has certification in the administration of pain medication and treating fibromyalgia can be so useless. He and his nurse are dismissive and rude. Dr Greshon as a waiting room full of patients but, I doubt anyone with chronic pain will find relief from his practice and will be referred, as I was. The doctor acted extremely irritated that I should have even made an appointment at his office. He asked if I had even looked at his website to see that he did not prescribe narcotic pain medication. No, I hadn’t. I said he had been recommended by two family members who had lower back pain. ( Now I realize he just gives them injections...and non-narcotic pain meds.). I explained I have living with pain since adolescence and I felt beaten down by it. His only reply was he couldn’t help me. I realize he did not even want to try. This man is a narcissist and has little compassion. His clinic is just a business. If you have Fibromyalgia and chronic pain… you are wasting your time. No sympathy or help at this clinic.

People were friendly ,professional, and good at what they do ,but beware ! Anyone who charges you 1,300.00 for a 250.00 back brace is a CROOK ! So ask before you leap.

I would never recommend Dr gersgon to anyone. He is rude, egotistical and oblivious. After a major surgery on my brain, he told my surgeon not to give me anything. I went 4 days without proper post op care. Mary Jo fixed it when I went it. She is kind, compassionate and willing to learn about my rare illnesses.
