He has appeared on WABC News and in U.S. News & World Report as an expert on gender knee replacement. Dr. Haas developed patient-matched techniques, which use computer-generated personalized instruments to accurately perform minimally invasive knee replacement. He appeared on WCBS News on custom knee replacements. Cutting-edge technologies employed by Dr. Haas include robotic-assisted replacement, patient-specific instrumentation and accelerometer-based computer navigation. Dr. Haas also performs minimally invasive robotic-assisted partial knee replacement. Advances in surgical techniques and pain control allow for more rapid recovery from knee replacement. As a result, many of Dr. Haas' patients are able to go home the same day of surgery. One of his patients who went home the same day was featured on WCBS News along with Dr. Haas.
