As a patient with a lifelong dread of dental procedures of any kind, the extraction I had today with Dr. Mantegari has put my fears aside! I couldn’t have dreamed of a more pleasant experience, and I can’t recommend him highly enough!

1. The office scheduled my appointment for my wisdom teeth to be removed, and then 4 days before the appointment called me and said I had to reschedule. I had already requested off work and arranged for my partner to get off work to care for me. 2. When I got there for the surgery, I was really nervous and expecting them to explain what was going to happen or go over aftercare instructions. Wrong. I was led in and sat down without so much as a "How are you?" They immediately started putting in the IV to sedate me, I tried to ask a question about what was going to happen afterward such as where would my prescriptions be sent, etc. and the lady acted annoyed and didn't really try to listen. So then I went to sleep and had the surgery, which went perfectly fine, but I wasn't given any instructions about how to care for the holes in my gums, no little syringe to clean them, and no follow-up appointment. I wasn't even told about dry socket or told whether or not my stitches were… dissolvable or not. I basically had to figure EVERYTHING out on google and fashion my own instrument to spray out the holes in my gums. Not a very good experience with the office or doctor, although he performed the surgery just fine.

I saw Dr. Mantegari for four extractions recommended by my primary dentist. I am not a fan of dental work (resulting in the need for the extractions), and dreaded this. However, the staff was cordial and efficient (I must have avoided the hummer mentioned by another reviewer), and the doctor must have known his business, as I was out during the entire procedure and had only minimal pain later on. It was the best I could have hoped for under the circumstances.
