Dr. Steven Greg Nance, MD

My baby was delivered by Dr. Steven Nance, and I was horrified by how I was treated the literal 10 minutes he was in the room. My friend was cheering me on saying "you're doing it!" as the baby was coming and Dr. Nance snapped at her saying, "Well, she hasn't done anything until the baby is here." I didn't want pitocin at delivery (which was not medically necessary for me) and he looked me in the eyes as my baby was coming out and yelled, "Oh, so I guess we'll just let you bleed to death." Needless to say, I did it, and no one bled to death. My husband and I also requested delayed cord clamping which Dr. Nance did anyway without telling us beforehand. When my husband asked why, Dr. Nance yelled at him about how there was meconium and they had to cord clamp. Good reason, terrible way to say it. There was so much tension in the room with Dr. Nance's raised voice, which was totally unnecessary. I asked what degree tear I had and was ignored. Dr. Nance came in and out without so much as a… hello or congratulations.

I had a frustrating experience with Steven Nance. I am Type 1 diabetic, so more precautions are generally made. He stopped checking my protein levels half way through my pregnancy. It feels like you are in the middle of a well oiled machine. In and out. Luckily, my MFM team was more alert and sent us to the hospital. I ended up getting an emergency cesarean, because I had preeclampsia. I chose to deliver at Timpanogos, without Dr. Nance. He was so rude at the follow up, I was told was necessary. Also my sister is a doula, and one of her clients said he had previously preformed an episiotomy on her when she told him not to. She felt like she needed someone to support her voice the next time around, because he didn't listen to her at all. This isn't the first time I've heard this either. He needs to retire! His son Jeff is so much better at listening!

He delivered my son, he is the best doctor ever, very professional and knowledgeable, caring and patient to listen to you. and he followed up after delivery, I couldnt believe how often I heard he called to check on me after delivery. My sisters were so impressed and had him deliver their sons too. He sure will deliver my other kids. His staffs are fantastic . I have met a lot of doctors but doctor Nance stands out.

Dr. Nance was first recommended to me 15 years ago when I was pregnant with my Son. I have seen him since on several occasions & I continue to be impressed with him & his Staff. I highly recommend Dr. Steven Nance!

Dr. Nance delivered all 6 of my babies. He's fantastic, and his staff is fantastic.

Dr. Nance is the best! He is very knowledgable and helps me understand what's going on with my high risk pregnancy. He takes time to talk with me and answer my questions. I have never had to wait longer than five minutes to be seen. The nurse is so sweet...she goes above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. All of the office staff is wonderful! Love the new office too.

Dr. Nance should retire. He didn't even examine me and blew me off when I complained of pain in my uterus. He just prescribe birth control and showed me the door. Got a second opinion from someone who actually cared.

Dr Nance is a great Dr and I would highly recommend him! His staff is kind, caring and very helpful:)

even though his doctor was highly recommended to me I am very disappointed and will be switching to a new doctor!! it feels like a McDonalds Drive thru he is in and out and he sure doesn't make you feel like he cares one bit!! And his staff is very rude and very short!! Would never recommend him to anyone!!
