Dr. Steven Harold Paletsky, MD

Went in for prostate biopsy. Went into Toxicity from the Lidocaine injection. Another urologist told me that he was suppose to inject Lidocaine into the nerve, not into the entire prostate. Because he was careless, it got into my blood stream and caused a life threatening reaction. These are the types of mistakes that are caused by people that have forgotten the basic steps on how to carefully administer medicine. Some people that I have spoken to say, he is a good Doctor. My question would be, in what area? If you are planning on visiting this office, proceed with CAUTION!

His treatment sent me to the emergency room. He did not return 7 PM call. Denied diagnosis and treatment of others doctors which would have cost me my life. Previous employees say he's condescending and disrespectful

My husband aquired an infection from prostate biopsy. A urinalysis was not ordered until the second recurrence. But even then, it was not thoroughly read - Paletsky was prescribing antibiotics that the test had shown were ineffective in treating this bacteria. Do not go to this Dr.

He was gave no medical assistance and offered no solutions.

I had a cystoscopy done and I contracted a UTI from the procedure.. I called the office two days later to inform them and they sent me out antibiotic. A few days later my left kidney was hurting. I called and the nurse told me to be there at 6:15 pm. I arrived in a lot of pain and was the last patient to be seen. However the girl at the front desk said the only way I could see the doctor is if I handed over $200.00 right now. I just paid cash for the test. I wasn't told I had to bring payment. I told her I would have it the first thing in the morning. She said sorry. I looked at my wife and said, where do I go now? My wife drove me to the hospital. They were very professional, they did a cat scan and blood work and found it was 2 kidney stones. I do believe Dr. Paletsky is a good doctor, however, to turn away someone in pain showed me that this office places money before the health and well being of people. Sad....

On first visit, waited an hour and a half to see Dr. Paletsky ... only saw him after I threatened to leave .. On follow up appointment for prostate ultrasound, receptionist refused to "pull chart" until I filled out new prescription list which I'd completed on first visit a month prior ... just plain rude ... I can only wonder whether the doctor is aware how poorly his staff handles patients

Even if he was the last Urologist in Ft Myers do not use
