Dr. Steven Thomas Powell, MD

Dr. Powell has been wonderful with both may passed husband and myself. He spends necessary time explaining his diagnosis and procedure. I am satisfied with him and his office staff; they have been an encouragement to me.

My sister was referred by the Heart of Florida system since she does not have health insurance and it appears she has a skin cancer that needs to be biopsied. After calling the office and being told they had not received the paper work she called back and when she explained why she had been referred they responded they did not work with Heart of Florida, they didn't do Charity cases. The person on the phone was not very polite in stating this, either! I have health insurance and if I was ever referred to this doctor, I would request another after the way they treated my sister.

Dr. Powell and his staff are wonderful. They treat me with great dignity and respect. I've never had a long wait for an appointment.

Much to much shock, office staff answered the phone and denied seeing me for my severe skin rash as it wasn't something he wanted to see, when i told them how urgent my need to have appointment they said he "wants to do other things, other than skin rash, such as cosmetic surgery/surgical procedures", yes that's right! The nerve, I say, of how awful to turn down a patient in need of a dermotologist. If you are a patient better hope you don't get any poison ivy or any skin disorder or rash!
