I waited over a month for an appointment for a vascular issue. Today I called to confirm — only to be told my appointment was canceled because the doctor is RETIRING. No one notified me. No phone call. No email. Nothing. It is completely unacceptable to let patients wait weeks for care and then fail to communicate something this significant. I rearranged my schedule and have been dealing with ongoing pain, only to find out I essentially never had an appointment. This office shows a complete lack of professionalism, organization, and basic respect for patients. I would strongly advise anyone to look elsewhere.

Dr. Silverman and his entire team completed a wonderful outcome for me on May 1, 2025! After a long day (5:30 AM to 9:PM) of Dr. Silverman and his entire team fighting for a surgical room to complete their job. I am so pleased and thankful for their performance and my results! Dr. Silverman is a total professional in how he delt with my arterial disease that required a long, difficult angioplasty procedure. His talents, dedication and wound teams stuck with me pre, during and post surgery. Excellent care.

As you can see from these reviews, if you have a serious, big-bucks problem, this might be your guy. But, if it turns out you don't, then I suggest you save yourself the tsunami of aggravation that this little, insecure, self-important, hero-in-his-own-mind, 'Rocky Mountain canary' will most assuredly heap upon you. (The classic case of the social "loser" who was smart enough for med school, but still came out a loser, but found a mechanical skill that made him the hero he thinks he is.) Suggest strongly you see someone else first, to know you have a big problem already.

My experience with Dr. Silverman was 5 star. He is a very skilled surgeon and very professional and efficient. His staff is very capable and friendly. I highly recommend to anyone with vascular problems.

In 2015 I had an accident that resulted in compartment syndrome in my left thigh. The hospital brought Dr Silverman in on an emergency basis. He immediately performed an arthroscopic procedure, and implanted a stint which saved my leg and possibly my life. An accomplished surgeon, very professional. After 2 visits to Silverman's office & wasting my valuable time waiting in his office for over an hour each time, I had to put up with a curt m& abrupt man. He wanted to repeat numerous tests in his facility for his financial gain, that I have had elsewhere with reports from qualified physicians, where I lived before. It takes forever to get an appointment with him, you wait an hour in waiting room & then he enters the exam room with no bedside manner. After 2 visits, I decided I did not want this scary, rude man to do my surgery! There is a great alternative Vascular Group on Cattleman Rd. in Sarasota!

Steven Silverman has no bedside manner, is abrupt with patients after you wait for over an hour at each visit to his office. He runs all types of expensive tests in his office which he benefits $$$ from & then has you wait & wait to get scheduled for a procedure, blaming it on Medicare guidelines & your insurance company. When the delay is him & his office, not processing the forms in a timely manner for Medicare approval. After waiting 3 weeks to see why we were not scheduled for surgery yet, we called Medicare insurance provider. They said they did not receive any request for surgery from his office. I called Silverman's & office secretary told us he did not even submit request for surgery yet, since he likes to wait for several procedures & sit down to sign the forms all at once & do surgery on the same day. Really? And I have suffered for months with pain & after 6 months, he has done nothing & has not submitted insurance approval, because it was not convenient for him. … Advise anyone to seek another physician or vascular group. Silverman practices alone, so maybe there is a reason for that!
