My husband saw Dr Swanson for SSI. My husband is in a lot of pain due to injuries he sustained in an accident. Unfortunately he can be moody and grumpy dealing with others. Dr Swanson was so kind, patient and understanding with my husband. His staff were also very kind bending over backwards to make him comfortable. Really nice and knowledgeable Doc. Very positive experience for both of us.

I saw Dr Swanson for SSI. His office is beautiful and staff were very polite and helpful. His kindness and understanding came across as soon as I walked into his office. I really would like to see him for therapy. Wonderful doctor!

My husband was sent here because he applied for SSDI. He has many problems so I have to be with him at all times, when we both entered the room he rudely told me to stay out side. When my husband asked why if said well your in adult you have to be sine along. But was extremely rude and keep telling husband if you don't want to be here than leave. Don't come here. He will make you feel worst then when you come in.

If Social Security tries to send you here for an evaluation, ask to be switched, this guy will get you denied. He only saw me for ten minutes and asked silly irrelevant questions such as "Who was Hamlet written by?" and "Where was the first Olympics held?". He only saw me for barley 10 minutes asking silly questions like that. Some 'evaluation'. Non-surprisingly I was denied and am now having to fight a lengthy appeal battle. SS sends you to this guy for a reason, they know he will do his best to get you denied, demand someone else!

Steven C Swanson PHD, attitude is very Rude. He saw me walk up to his door and ask for my Granddaughter by name and I said yes and he said for me to go wait out in the waiting room and i could hear what he was saying as the door was open. then he sent her out and told her to tell me to come in and he was not happy as she did not replay to him about anything and told me since she will not talk the best place for her would be in the fields. And after we walk out I ask what did he have you do and she said a block puzzle and ect, And he told her she was being rude and I think it was uncooperative with him. Sh has Selective Mutism,Social Anxiety,Panic Attacks And Migraines so bad it can Couse her to get sick to her stomach to were she even Vomits. He stress he out real bad that day. She told me next time she hopes she gets the nice lady she had last time. Every one I talk to said when he said she could work in the fields say the same as I do he sound Raciest. Now because of him we had to… fill out an Reconsideration Form to try and keep her on it. On the letter we received it says she talks with "FRIENDS" will she don't have friends. Its says she talks to "FAMILY" she only talks with me some and her mom. All my family can tell you she don't talk to any in the family. The letter say she managed to graduate form high school the only reason that was they took her off her IEP to lower her credits to 130 as that is what they use for kids in foster care, juvenile hall and children of immigrants. The letter i have even has on it saying she can learn to work at jobs that are not difficult to learn and remember and that do not require interaction with the public I sure like to know where that job is.

My daughter saw Dr. Swanson for schizophrenia. In the many years we have seen doctors for her disease, not once have we felt truly understood. Dr. Swanson's depth of knowledge about this disease is remarkable. My daughter immediately felt very comfortable with him and was even willing to disclose much more than she had been willing with other doctors. My daughter left the appointment feeling hopeful and felt much better about her self.

I found talking with him very calming his facial expressions and gestures are very neutral ,friendly, Coming, wish I had someone like that to talk to you once in awhile!

Dr. Swanson was excellent. He has a very good understanding of autism. He saw my daughter for SSI and spent over 2 hours with her. She was comfortable with him and came away feeling good about herself.
