He was very personable and kind but unfortunately, he misdiagnosed my son with a hernia. He was 100% sure he had a hernia and ready to book surgery when in fact, he did not. Thank goodness I went to a general surgeon for a second opinion and the Pediatrician, who also confirmed there was no hernia. Please always obtain a second opinion

Dr. Tennebaum is the best. He knows his stuff. I felt so confident to put my infant son in his hands. The surgery he performed was perfect. We highly recommend him

My son had to have Surgery done by Tennbaum. He was so amazing with my son. He came to visit before the surgery and put my son at ease, even had him laugh, the other part that I liked is even with me standing there all questions were directed to my son. That speaks volumes for me. Showed my son respect.

Dr. Steven is a good doctor. But his stuff is NIGHTMARE. I could never imagine that someone from doctor stuff could be so rude and shut over the phone. Well, first, the receptionist seems to be deaf or what, but it would be OK, if she should not shut on the clients, and if she was shutting on me "let me speak with someone else" if she is not hearing well. Second time someone from the billing departmant was screaming on me over the phone during 15 mins (and it was not my fault). I wish to return to dr Tennenbaum but I scary of his stuff who think it's normal to scream on the customers.

My daughter had an appt with Dr Tenenbaum and although very quick evaluation of a spastic bladder I liked him. He prescribed meds that didn't work well and that's when the problem started. I called 3 days in a row with no return call and then finally when he called back it took another week to get the new medicine ordered. His assistant Wanda is a nasty witch who hung up on me after speaking very rudely. And whoever answered the phone also was rude and abrupt . Tenenbaum just lost us as a patient and I will tell my pediatrician not to suggest him to others .

EXCELLENT DOCTOR! My 12 yr. old son had a double penile skin bridge that needed to be surgically repaired. I knew this going in. Not only did Dr. Tennenbaum's personality put me right at ease about the treatment but he did the repair in the office and my Son felt no pain at all during the procedure as he was topically numbed. The outcome of the repair was amazing & my Son is now so confident about his "normal" appearance. I cannot thank Dr. Tennenbaum enough for his pleasant manner and his superior treatment of my child. The staff was great as well! 5+ STARS in my book!

No idea about the doctor but the staff (Wanda) is pathetic. I guess it reflects on the doctor too. We were referred to him by our pediatrician. We made an appointment for 3:45pm for a Thursday. We showed up at his office at 3:40pm in Teaneck after having to take half day from work for both of us. The door was locked and no one even answered the phone. Finally after constantly knocking a lady from the neighboring office who had access to Dr's office also decided to help us and went in and the staff on duty - Wanda. We were surprised that through all our calling and knocking she was calmly sitting inside. Then she proceeds to tell us that they actually made the appointment for us at their Ridgfield office even though we had called this number. I offered to drive to Ridgfield (only 20mins away). She says sorry that office closes at 4:30pm. So basically because of their stupidity both me and my wife lose half a day at work each. Very unprofessional. I am not taking my kid to see this… doctor ever again. Also going to ask my pediatrician to stop sending his patients to this unprofessional place. No even an apology offered by staff saying that sorry we booked u at wrong place. Or maybe lets try and help you.

Dr. Tennenbaum did my son's hernia surgery and was great. He answered all of our questions and put my son at ease. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a pediatric urologist for their child.

Very brusque. can't abide crying babies. arrogant. immediately recommended surgery for a condition that can repair on its own. When asked if the condition could repair on its own gave a flat "no," even though leading studies indicate otherwise. In other words, he was eager to perform surgery on our infant when best practice is "wait and see." Part owner of the surgical clinic, so it appears he profits twice from surgeries. Would not recommend.
