Dr. Visnaw is not to be trusted ! Please ! Find another doctor ! If I could choose 0 stars I would . A very close Loved one is still in the hospital because of him and it's been 3 weeks since the initial surgery and it's been one problem after another since. I pray they survive no thanks to him .

My husband thought the world of Dr. Visnaw for the last 10 years, but in Aug. he went to hospital for a elective procedure, was butchered and stayed in 28 days before he died. Was opened 3 times to fix what he should have done the first time. Be very careful who you trust.

Dr visnaw did surgery on me last year..I'm going back to him again coming soon for a couple more surgical procedures. I trust this doctor with "my life" and I highly recommend him.He reminds me one of the good old boys but with a twist ...a highly intelligent surgeon..and a darn good one. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

If I could put no stars I would, he did surgery on me for something a promised my husband it would never come back since we had been dealing with this issue for a long time. So I was relieved to find out that it wAs finally resolved. Well low and behold a few months later it comes back and I end up seeing a new surgeon who diagnoses it as something completely different. I end up in the er and somehow get dr visnaw again because he happens to be on call. I couldn't shake the bad feeling I had but gave him the benefit of the doubt and went ahead with the surgery . He did the exact same surgery as last time which I don't trust is what is truly wrong, I feel he just wanted to get me out as soon as possible so he could go home. I'm in recovery and can over hear a 15 minute long phone conversation the doctor is having about home improvements, I asked the nurse if he would come explain to me what he did and why it was different then We discussed.He refused saying he would talk to my husband… and the nurse informed dr visnaw that my husband wasn't in the waiting room anymore because they told him to go back to my room. The nurse also told the dr that my husband had many question since it was a different surgery than expected and a repeat surgery, he says exasperated it was just *blank* (the thing I had) and began to whisper to the person next to him. I couldn't make out what he said but I was so mad he wasn't professional enough to speak to my husband let alone myself! I'm appalled by his actions and bedside manner. I don't trust him at all, I'm looking into contacting the hospitals administration or coordinator. Oh and by the way he never came to the room to speak with us at all! He made me feel that I wasn't important at all and I didn't matter at all. I regret letting him do my surgery as I feel he again diagnosed it wrong a did the wrong surgery. Just easy money to him and could care less about actually fixing the problem. I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. Please seek the care of a different surgeon or physician .

Dr. Visnaw is not only my surgeon but also a friend. He is a very caring doctor with excellent bedside manners and he treats his patients like family. He takes the time to listen to me. I will not go to any other surgeon. The office staff is friendly and courteous. Happy patient!

I had to meet my mother at Dr Visnaw's office when she was brought there by medical transport. She had an 11:30 appointment. Upon arriving, a lady was moaning on a stretcher in the hallway outside the Dr's office door.She had been waiting for 30 minutes already I was told by her caregiver.My mom , who has alzheimer's was in her wheelchair behind this woman. I went inside to ask how lon we would wait, and was told by the staff 2-3 hrs. I told them there was no way she would be able to stay there in her wheelchair that long. I asked to reschedule her when they could assure me of a lesser wait time. They said they cannot guarantee any short wait time because the Dr goes downstairs and does surgery in between patients???? I can understand an emergency, but MY DR at Tampa General does not see patients on the same day he does surgeries. I never have to wait more than 15 minutes max for my office visits. I feel this was an absurd and unrasonable wait time.It is very hard for eldery to wait… that long to be seen.
