Lousy Dr. Not once in 8 years did he ask me how I was doing. I always had to being it up in conversation. I stayed with him because I liked the guy but he never solved my problem.

But below satisfactory when it comes to diagnosing and prescribing meds. The turnaround for me was when I mentioned suicide and he had no clue what to say or do. He just kept on talking and left me hanging.

Dr Weinstein has helped me with anxiety, depression and other serious problems over the last several years. He is very knowledgeable with all medications, he has a lot of very good experience and he's exceptional at adjusting medication dosages. Excellent communicator. He is the best listener and conversationalist I've ever experienced in psychiatry. In fact, he always stuns me with his energy, attentiveness and drive to find solutions. He is extremely down to earth and relates very well to the average person and has never shown an attitude. He thinks outside of the box when confronted with complex problems (eg. the numerous psychiatrists I've seen the last 28 yrs rarely engaged in this). I believe that what makes Dr. Weinstein a good doctor is that he is very happy in his personal life and that he genuinely likes people not to mention his profession. I would recommend Dr. Weinstein to anyone with emotional problems.
