Dr wiener is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He is matter-of-fact but in a beneficial way. He listened to me tell my spiel about how my pain started. He asked important questions throughout my appointment that made me feel he was truly interested in helping me. I highly recommend

I’m 70 years old and have been treated for chronic nerve damage (Neuropathy) in my feet for the past 15 years. I’m a strong and independent woman and have always had a high pain tolerance but this last year it’s been extremely hard. My neurologist who was treating me for Neuropathy reccomended I see a pain management doctor because of the opioid crisis. Unfortunately I saw Dr. Steven Weiner in West Bloomfield who acted as if he hated hearing about people with pain. He came across as not wanting to be there and definitely not pleasant to talk to. Obviously he knows nothing about Neuropathy nerve damage and how painful this disease is. I went back the 3rd time because my pain had escalated to an 8, 9, and even a 10! For days I couldn’t sleep, eat, walk, or get out of bed! Here’s the KICKER!!............He took back my prescription that I had in my possession for 4 weeks that was to be filled that day! His reply was he was done treating me so go to this walk in place where… addicts go!! I couldn’t believe he said that to me! I’ve battled this nerve damage for 15 years with help of caring doctors. That doesn’t make me a lesser person or an addict! My disease isn’t curable. It will only get worse and spread through my body. Dr. Weiner, what kind of a doctor are you to say that to a patient who has a disease that’s so painful? Shame on you!
