Dr. Stuart H Shippey IIi, MD

My mother came to see Dr. Shippey because I recently had to have to total hysterectomy and a sling due to tumors(I am under 40yrs.old) at the city of hope in California and I can not control my bladder. A problem my mother has had for about 20 yrs. and because of my success with the sling she came to Dr. Shippey in the hopes that she too wouldn’t have to continue to wear a pad/diaper anymore at 60. My mother should have a sling. She should be able to walk to a restroom without peeing herself. A doctor whom studied at John Hopkins should know this based on the testing he put her through that day. Instead he still sent her home to write down how many times she pees in a day. He ran the spasm test and had her cough to see her Incontinence issue. Filled her bladder. The whole nine. My mother was referred to Dr Shippey because she needed a simple sling surgery and he was supposed to be the best. She was not sent sent to you to re examine a problem she has had for 20 years. When a 60 year… old woman finally gets enough courage to share a problem and is ready to fix because her daughter have convinced her she can. My best advice dr... help her right away, don’t send her home and ask her to right down how many times she pees in a day when you’ve just witnessed her pee her pants right in front of you. FYI she may be too embarrassed to come back
