Dr. Sudha Raghavan Nair, MD

I am so happy I switched to Dr. Nair. Both her and her staff were not only welcoming, but also they listened to me. That is something that my last medical provider lacked. Both Dr. Nair and her nurse Jennifer were filled with information and advice that didn't include lots of medicine. They educated me on perimenopause (something my other provider didn't talk much about) and told me ways to help alleviate symptoms and what symptoms to look out for. Again...I am so happy I made the switch. I'd tackle the bad parking situation for the Tennova hospital anyday to see her.

Just had my first visit with Dr. Nair. Very warm yet professional. I wish all my doctors had such a great bed side manner. Her staff was efficient and friendly.

Dr. Nair is very nice, but not helpful at all. She could never fully grasp the severity of my problem and would give me contradicting information. Would recommend for simple exams but NOT for problems.

Dr. Nair is an absolutely wonderful compassionate doctor. I highly recommend. She really takes time to listen and explain things to her patients. Staff is wonderful as well.

Dr. Nair was the on call doctor when I went into labor with my daughter. It was a holiday weekend so my OB wouldn't be in for a couple days. When it was time to push, my daughter was sideways in my birth canal. The doctor told me I had 15 minutes to get her face down or we would have an emergency c section. Not even 5 minutes later, all her nurses are suiting up and wheeling all of their equipment out of my room into surgery. Not even giving me the fifteen minutes to try to change my baby's position. Well, of course, 15 minutes later, I give a big push, and my daughter turns, and crowns. The doctor and nurses have to rush everything back from surgery and load into my room like a clown car. I was given an episotomy and my baby was born seconds later. She gave me a terrible stitch job that took her twenty minutes to do, they all fell out before I left the hospital (which nobody noticed because my hemorroids were so large you couldn't see the open incision). I went to my regular ob a week… later because of the excruciating pain I was in, and now I've been set up to have surgery to fix what she butchered. How can someone spend 20 minutes sewing you up, and the stitches end up falling out? How can you be so careless with a woman's genitals? Possibly causing someone to not enjoy sex again? Walk into a room to a woman who's been laboring for over 24 hrs and tell them they have 15 minutes to turn their child or its major abdominal surgery? I love my regular OB, but if I ever have a baby again (if I can have sex again, which it doesn't look like I will because I can't look at my own vagina without crying) I won't be delivering at tennova. I don't want to risk my chances of having an on call doctor, and having my health in the hands of the incompetent staff who let me leave the hospital with a giant open wound.

If you want a c section she s ok..bragged mine only took her 4min, but if you want a natural birth, the worst doctor on the face of the planet! when my physician wasn't there to deliver my child I was excited doctor Nair was there. I had heard such great things about her and was excited for her to be able to deliver my child but she had her own agenda. She pursues the most unrealistic technique to remove my cervix from the side of the head, instead of 1000 of natural ways to make that work she chose to put her hand inside me during a contraction to push it over with her fingers. how ignorant. when I asked to be on a birthing ball to help the process I was told that we would be doing an emergency c section of dead. I was not on any medications and I have not chosen to have a c section it is against my religion. she told me her best interest was for the child and I had no say so in this situation when I came to I was given morphine against my wishes. and no 1 there can tell me what… happened for the hour or however long I was unconscious nobody knows where my baby was a what was happening to my baby. she also cut my cervix somehow in the process and now my incision is all lots I did and bruising has huge swelling circled on it somewhere I would not treated gently. the nurses at to tennova were the best very awesome. they have all the completely wrong information about breastfeeding but very heartfelt good people. Bottom line Mt c.section was.unnecessary. If like to know her c sect vs natural ratio...

compassionate, spends enough time with me during every visit answering all questions. Does great with In office procedures.knowledgeable. will recommend to anyone..

Dr. Nair is the reason that I chose the OB/GYN practice that I did. She is an amazing doctor. She did my prenatal care and delivered my first child, and now she is my Obstetrician for my second pregnancy. She has an amazing staff and treats you like family.
