Dr. Sumalatha Mannava, MD

Although a new patient, I’ve seen Dr. M a few times. She was decent, but after yesterday? People need to be warned. Her lack of experience & knowledge borders on negligence. She treated me in a manner that seems discriminatory. I’ve a history of ministroke & I’m a medical cannabis patient for seizures. I described concerning neurological issues. Her reaction? Laughter. I tried to laugh it off myself, being rather humiliated, but she continued to laugh as though my symptoms were hilarious. Then she said she recommended an addiction specialist because of the cannabis use. She almost refused to acknowledge that cannabis has medical efficacy. She cited her lack of knowledge, but she insisted that I didn’t know if it was actually helping me. She doubted my medical history & my own knowledge of it & utterly dismissed the reason for my follow-up. Beware of this doctor. She’s not to be trusted.
