Dr. Sunil Kumar Srivastava, MD

this dr is not treating my sister right, renita is blind in one eye and this doctor wont give her a white cane, nor handicap placement card,. what kind of dr. is he, and she is eldely and walks with a cane ,,, this is her sister joanne .

I realize that it is difficult to give people devastating diagnoses, but that's his job. He signed up for it and he took the Hippocratic oath to "Do No Harm”. Nevertheless, he gave me the LEAST info possible about my vision-threatening diagnosis, and let me find out online that I will be fighting for my vision for the rest of my life and am likely to lose more and more vision over time. And when I called and wrote asking if it was true, literally begging for information, he would not reply. Only his nurse finally did, who it was like pulling teeth to get info from and who gave me dangerously erroneous information about the drugs I was taking. The experience with him in the office is incredibly rushed - he told me he only sees patients for 5-8 minutes each - which is about how long I saw him the first time.The 2nd time, I will admit, he begrudgingly set aside time to answer my questions, tho later, when I realized the actual treatment plan he gave me didn’t actually achieve the goal HE… set, he, again, refused to reply. He and his nurse actually joked about how he doesn’t answer his own emails, as if he is too good for that. Also, I don’t know if it is bc of his haste or bc he doesn’t think holistically, but he FORGOT to tell me that the massive doses of steroids he was going to give me would suppress my immune system in the middle of the pandemic. I had to wait 2 weeks for blood test results before I could start the steroids, which would have been the perfect opportunity to get the booster, but they didn’t say a word and were shocked when I asked why they didn’t suggest it! So I had to stay home for 2 months to keep myself safe. Truly the sloppiest, most haphazard and truly uncaring healthcare experience I have ever had. I have a very tough diagnosis with really scary treatment options, and he made the whole situation so much harder and so much scarier. So much for that oath. I would never go back, and would not recommend him if he was the last doctor on earth. It was that awful of an experience.

Dr. Srivastava is one of the best uvetius specialists in the county. I was under his care when first diagnosed. He listens, offers options for treatment, makes you feel like family. Brilliant surgeon, diaignostion, and friend, thru the challenge of uveitis!

Knowledgeable, kind and caring physician. Finding this doctor was blessing.

Dr. Srivastava is awesome!!! He knew right away what was wrong with my eyes and has suggested more extensive testing. He and his associate were very professional and caring. I'm so happy I went to him.

When I called, Cleveland Clinic's booking said "oh, Dr. K is the best" -- but then I got shunted to this guy. He's definitely not the reason they're rated highly. Dismissive of anything a patient says -- hello, we do have a clue about our own problems in today's information world. Maybe he doesn't like women with high-tech degrees acting like they have brains too. I thought his attitude wouldn't matter, that I'd still have a good outcome -- but I haven't. I have real regrets about not going elsewhere.

Dr Srivasta made time to fully explain procedures, risks, and expected outcomes. I saw him at Emory, and any less than top rating is for the staff and not the doctor.

An excellent physician. He diagnosed the problem, which was complex, and followed it through for almost 2 years. Bright and courteous. I would highly recommend him.
