Dr. Sunit K Singhal, MD

I received a referral from Dr. Singhal. On the other end, for some reason it was never going through. I called his office back twice because over the course of one month the other office was still saying they had not received a referral. I never once blamed their office yet I got a call sternly reprimanding me for taking too much of their office resources and telling me to essentially cease and desist. Not only that but his bedside manner and ability to interact with patients is very poor. He did nearly nothing after I came in for a physical. He essentially just talked to me for a few minutes and left the room.

I had gone for my annual physical checkup with Dr Sunit Singhal. Preventive services are 100% paid by the insurance. When I received the bill from my insurance company, I was surprised to see office visit charges in addition to preventive services. I tried reaching Dr Sunit several times to understand why he has charged me for office visit but he won't respond. Since I have my wellness reward account with my insurance company, office visit charges got automatically paid out of my rewards account. Now I am made to run after my own money to get it back. I have refuted those charges with my insurance company and going to file a complaint with Georgia state medical board for such unethical practices

My daughter and I had simultaneous appts. with Dr. Singhal. My daughter had acne and was searching for treatment but needed to see Dr. Singhal first and get a referral. He owns the esthetic spa in the same building, across from his office. He was insistent about her getting treatments there for great results. Due to having to leave for school shortly, he tried to convince her that his nephew had bad acne and came to visit him for two weeks and his acne was completely controlled after the two weeks of treatments. Of course, not covered by insurance. No referral to a dermatologist. As for me, I went in due to shoulder and wrist discomfort. Movement of either created a sharp pain running from my pinky to my shoulder. Dr. Singhal told me he was not very familiar with what was going on but I was lucky that his son-in-law, Kevin, was available in his office today. We were moved to another room. Kevin came in and after a few shoulder movements, told me that he could sense I had a severe… rotator cuff tear going on and I needed to get x-rays immediately. I waited and the x-rays were performed in the office. When done, Kevin told me that the x-rays were not good and I needed to have an MRI. I was not shown the x-rays. He said he would order the MRI to be done ASAP. Later that day, the imaging scheduler called and asked if I was an athlete and needed to be seen immediately. I said, "No, but I am 56 years old, if that means anything else." She responded that Dr. Singhal's office had ordered an MRI with contrast which was very rarely done unless there was a solid reason to do that. I told her I had no idea what he ordered but he only informed me that I needed an MRI. The scheduler said that I would have to go to another center because the procedure wasn't available at all imaging centers. I asked her to please call the doctor and reconfirm the procedure. She called back and told me that the doctor insisted on the contrast. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from another center with a scheduled time to get the contrast MRI done. I showed up and again, the new center was confused as to why I needed the contrast and was asking ME why I didn't just want the regular MRI. At the end of the situation, I did not have anything more than a stretched muscle that was not torn and not severely damaged, or even damaged or torn at all. I was slapped with an approximate bill of $7000. Contrast was NOT covered despite the fact that the doctor was supposed to have gotten the approval. I tried to amicably settle this having him pay that portion instead of proceeding with it legally. They refuse to accept my phone calls and they hang up on me when I request to speak to the doctor directly. They just respond that he will return calls when he is available. No resolution...YET!

I have been going to Dr. Singhal since I was a little girl. There is no one else I would trust my health to.

I t took me time to warm up to my physician but that was me. I am comfortable with her now which was my goal.

I would give this doctor all zeros but that was not an option. My 6 year old son was having an asthma attack and he refused to see him over a technicality. They would not even let me pay for services. Pretty much treated us like we were homeless!!! Very unprofessional staff and facility. Do yourself a favor and find a doctor who truly cares about patients.

She has horrible bedside manner , she was more worried about trying to get me to add her as my PCP than anything. She gave me a lame diagnosis, to which she refused to put in writing. All I can say is stay away, she clearly has her own best interest in mind. NOT YOURS.

Dr. Singhal is by far the best doctor around! He has been our primary care doctor for years. He always cares about our family and is very good at what he does!

We have been going to Dr. Singhal for years and feel so fortunate to have him close by. He is always accessible and always takes a personal interest in his patient's well being. He is the best!
