Avoid this doctor if you have any type of deductible with your insurance plan! I have been a patient for the last 3 years, and usually paid out of pocket because my insurance was not accepted. I was paying $250 out of pocket for my annual comprehensive eye exam. If you call and ask what the out of pocket fee is for a comprehensive eye exam, $250 is what they will tell you. I got a new insurance this year and was excited that it was accepted, because you would think I would owe less using my insurance. That is far from what happened! The office billed my insurance $670 for my annual comprehensive eye exam and when I questioned them about the significant difference between what they charge for out of pocket paying patients and insurance paying, they tried to tell me that they conduct more tests when you use insurance versus pay out of pocket. That is a complete lie, because the last 2 years when I paid out of pocket, I received the exact same tests as this year when I used my insurance.… When I asked about this again, they tried to cover their tracks by saying the doctor must have offered the additional services with the out of pocket eye exam as a “complimentary” procedure. Using my insurance, I had to pay the doctor $352.22 out of my own pocket compared to the out of pocket fee I was paying of $250 when I did not use insurance. They explained the $250 out of pocket fee as a “complimentary discount” offered by the doctor for people who do not have insurance. I guess they just assume that people who can afford to pay for insurance can also afford to pay higher prices. Where is the “complimentary discount” for the repeat customers whose insurance is not going to cover the outrageous inflated prices they are billing the insurance companies?!? It’s a shame that this doctor is more concerned about money and trying to milk the insurance companies for all he can get, rather than focusing on patient satisfaction and retention. I will no longer give this doctor my business and highly suggest you check with your insurance regarding your cost before informing this doctor you have insurance. They even threatened me by saying they could find out I had insurance if I did not disclose it to them and then use it, which is absolutely ridiculous! I do not have to use my insurance if I choose not to and they are always required to offer an out of pocket cost upfront. Be careful if you chose this doctor, and make sure you schedule plenty of time for your appointment because they are always running extremely behind. The only thing I got extra from my last appointment was having to wait 45 minutes before I was taken back to begin my exam. I highly encourage this doctor to re-evaluate how he runs his practice if he wants to maintain a profitable business.

Doctor Sherry showed me where two other prescriptions were mistaken and corredted it to where I don't even have to wear glasses now. My cataract surgery went great. I am able to see better now. Better than with my glasses. Painless surgery. After surgery I only had to use eye drops. His staff was very helpful and professional. Doctor Cherry was recommended by a friend and I am thankful for his honesty. October 16, 2025

Dr Cherry performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I can’t believe I can see so well now! The procedure was quite fast and there was no pain at all. Aftercare was very easy and I only had to use 1 drop for a few days. I am very satisfied with the doctor and his caring staff. I have recommended this office to a number of my friends and family and all of them have been well taken care of. We are very fortunate to have this doctor in our area!
