Dr. Susan Annette Glenn, MD

The bad reviews of this place would have been helpful for me before visiting. Having come here for two months was a waste of time. Nurse Thinh Nguyen wrongly denied my illness and blamed my symptoms on psychological factors. Due to his lack of knowledge about my "strange" condition, he referred me to his supervisor, Dr. Susan Glenn, delaying my treatment. After a long wait to be seen by Dr. Glenn. Besides increasing my medication, she had no other treatment to offer me. Her recommendation was to consult with other physicians first and then come back in 4-6 months. In the event that anything changes, she will reply to your email within three weeks. I was rotated by several PA's many times and it is only medication that can be used to treat patients. Although their website claims that they offer other services, none were provided to me. The state of my health was very serious when I arrived at Duke Neurology. My mother has been a patient of hers since 2010. She's always been fabulous with her and always took the time to answer questions, ask questions of her own, review histories and concerns... always gave top notch care. When I felt my own doctor wasn't taking my conditions seriously, I went with my mom to one of her appointments, and asked Dr. Glenn directly if she'd take me on as a client. Without hesitation she said yes, and to contact the front desk to start the process of switching. Which is odd, because she doesn't take on a lot of new patients, or so the front desk told me when I began the request. But after I stated that I'd already gotten her approval for it, it went through smoothly and I've been a happy patient of hers ever since. She prescribed a new medication, and within a week and a half I realized that while it was working to prevent flare ups, it was also turning me into an idiot as well. I messaged her on a friday afternoon that I needed to change to something else.… By sunday night she'd already had a new Rx sent to my pharmacy and messaged me back about a schedule to go off the old med and onto the new med. Yes, wait times to see her are long; and occasionally you'll be seen later than the appointment time (like all doctors) but I'd rather get the high quality, low frequency of treatment and care with her, than the subpar quality with doctors with shorter wait times. When I leave an appointment with her, I don't have any concerns about the course of treatment she suggests. Because all my concerns are addressed in the room.

Dr Glenn is a very caring and knowledgable physician taking her time to treat patients.

I researched many physicians prior to contacting Dr. Glenn to provide care for my wife. We have found her to be a wonderful, caring and compassionate professional who we are blessed to have as a physician. She not only focuses on my wife's needs but she is patient, considerate, caring and a consummate professional. I could not recommend any physician any more than Dr. Glenn. Her staff have been very helpful and we were able to get in to see her rather quickly. We have also been promptly notified of test results. Great doctor and great experience.

Great doctor

I called to make an appointment with her because a medication she prescribed for me was causing side effects my doctor was concerned about. She told appointments to put me on a wait list. I don't feel she really cares about my health. I work at a doctors office. If a patient called us and told us that we would find a way to see them. Even if it's with another doctor. I want to change to another doctor.

Dr. Glenn was very knowledgeable and friendly,followed up with other tests to leave no doubt of diagnosis .I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER AND THE GREAT STAFF .

There is no timely communication from the nurse to the patient when necessary. More of a problem than a team effort. Have been a patient of Dr. Glenn's for 18 yrs, and I have never seen her as stressed and pushed as she is this year. It is impossible and unheard of to see her outside of your 4 month appt. Which can be a problem. If Dr. Glenn were not as talented and good as I know she is - I would strongly look elsewhere. But, I try hard to overlook the staffing issues and not let them affect me.,

I have been seeing Dr. Glenn for over five years now due to having Multiple Sclerosis. She was the doctor to diagnose my condition. I originally chose her because when I called, she was recommended for her empathy and compassion. They were absolutely right.Despite Dr. Glenn's busy schedule, she always makes time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and concerns. If I have a symptom she always has a suggestion for treatment. She is the type of doctor who respects the patient to make their own decisions. She provides information and expertise but I never feel talked down to or that I don't have control over my care. Raleigh Neurology has had issues in the past with scheduling appointments and tests but they have vastly improved over the past months. Despite any administrative issues of the facility itself, I choose to stay on as a patient because of Dr. Glenn. She is simply one of the best doctors and I trust her completely. I would fully recommend her to anyone in need of… neurological treatment.

When I first saw Dr. Glenn, she was wonderful. However, the second time I was assigned to her PA, who was NOT wonderful. I had some questions about my condition and this PA actually said: "I have already explained this to you twice" with a horrible attitude. I asked that Dr. Glenn come in and when she did, she appeared to be very annoyed. I was not at all happy with my experience. I felt like it was an imposition for her to see me. And I would NEVER see her PA again. If you want attention to your problem, I might look elsewhere. If a doctor doesn't have the time to meet with you, that's a real problem, either in scheduling or in level of interest.
