Great doctor

Went to doctor for number of issues, it was easy to get appointment and wait was only a few minutes however the doctor only spent a few minutes with me and didn't seem interested in finding the cause of health issues. When I pointed out pitting edema on legs she said "well to be frank it's because of your weight" she took blood test only to check cholesterol. I later went to different doctor who ordered more thorough blood test and found I have liver problem and low functioning thyroid. Thanks Dr. Hawn for wasted time and money.

Why does she practice medicine. Limited office hours. Her website had something about "nerve" pills. Apparently she doesn't believe in emotional problems. Sje also will drop you after two missed appointments. I went to see her and told the office I would be paying cash, They asked me several times. I think they wanted money up front. The doctor spent at most ten minutes with me, She didn't ask me my medical history and acted like she didn't want to touch me. Aftr not getting better and seeing Dr. Culpepper I went to the hospital where I found out I had colon Cancer. Go to a Dr. who is concerned enought to talk to you and will order tests.

I was nervous going to see a new doctor. We recently moved to Jefferson and I wanted a female doctor. My first phone call to office was very reassuring because the staff took time to answer all my questions and weren't trying to rush me off the phone. My first appointment I only waited in the waiting room maybe 5-10 minutes. The nurse took me back and Dr. Hawn came in after another 5 minutes. She asked very direct questions. At first it caught me a little off guard but then I could tell she was trying to think of the best way to help me, as an individual. She really took her time with me, no rush job here. I have been back to see her 2 more times and feel like I've found the right place for me. Definitely not the warm fuzzy doctor, but she has helped find things that no one else even bothered looking for. If you want a doctor that takes time and interest in your health, give her a try. susan is a nice doctor, but very poor bedside manner,poor patient-doctor communication outside of office. staff unfriendly.Am looking for another doctor.

Dr Hawn is awesome. She is interested in my health and takes the time to listen to me. I don't feel like she's looking at her watch or ready to push me out the door. I go to her because I don't wait long, she takes her time with me on exams and follows up promptly with test results.

I have been suffering with serious depression for years, and needed a refill, this office was not willing to work with me at all for payment arrangements so i could get seen, and would not refill my perscription. I got a very friendly letter in the mail stating that Dr Hawn doesnt want to be my doctor anymore. so now on top of all the depression, and the divorce i am going through, i get rejected from my own doctor!!! would not recommend anyone going to this doctor!!! they will leave you high and dry in your time of need.

First visit was very in depth. She took the time to find out why I was there. She did a thorough exam. I felt very comfortable with her. Very professional and great staff. I will continue using her and highly recommend anyone to try her.

I am not impressed with her cold demeanor and lackadaisical attitude. Don't ask too many questions or you get the brush off.
