Not going back to this office again. My husband Was specific about VA referral and insurance. Twice he told them and was still ignored and wrong (old) insurance company was listed anyway. And must have given his information out because now he is getting phone calls and emails from insurance company wanting to sign him up for all kinds of wellness deals. He did not feel he was listened to, he was just the next person in line on the appt list.

It has been a while since I saw Knowles. I feel this review is still very important for people who are considering seeing her. I have an extensive medical history and was sent here because my neurologist said he suspected I had lupus and RA which was terrifying. I called several times to make sure that all of my medical records were in her office before my visit which took months to get in to. She comes in, doesn't make eye contact, mumbles her name and tells me she doesn't have my records even though I had confirmed with her office that they were there. She would not even take the time to go get them. She rushed through the appointment, wouldn't even let me discuss my symptoms and was cold. Then she proceeded to order all of the same tests I had already taken and were in my records. After a years worth of testing with other doctors in anticipation of this visit with Knowles and waiting several months to get in to her I left defeated. I walked out of there, ripped up her labs and… never went back. I grew up in Carson and it has grown tremendously in the last 10 years. It is time for Carson City to get rid of doctors like this and bring in compassionate, well educated medical professionals.

I will be forever grateful that I was referred to Dr. Knowles. I have been her patient for several months and I could not be happier. Because of her care and diligence she found the best medications and program for me; I am now able to resume my life without the crippling pain I was suffering. Dr. Knowles orders the tests needed to understand my complexed conditions and refers me to other specialists when needed in order to treat me in the most appropriate way. She and her staff have always been polite, professional and caring. I could not ask for a more knowledgeable or dedicated doctor. I must say, I do not understand the negative reviews. I have never experienced anything rude, uncaring or unprofessional from her or any of the staff; believe me if I had you would hear about it.

I have been seeing Doctor Knowles for several years and am so thankful. I think the nature of autoimmune disease makes them very difficult to diagnose and harder to treat. She has done both for me. She has an incredible depth of knowledge and great listening skills! I appreciate all she has done for me and would absolutely recommend her to others!

If I could give her zero stars I would. I found everyone in her office to be EXTREMELY rude including Dr. Knowles. Even though she is the only rheumatologist in Carson City, I would never refer her to anyone.

Dr. Knowles was a disappointment. She was dismissive and not at all interested in trying to help me. I have discovered that she entered into my record that I have fibromyalgia, yet didn't tell me or refer me to someone for treatment. Because of her notes, no other rheumatologist will see me.
