Dr. Susan Mary Longar, MD

Susan Lungar is the rudest, meanest medical “professional” I ever encountered. First of all, Susan was over an hour late for our scheduled appointment. Then, the second I walked into the room, without any apologies for her tardiness, Susan immediately went on a rant, screaming at me, denying me health care! Susan wouldn’t let me get a word in. This appointment was clearly between her and her computer screen, NOT with the human patient sitting before her. She jumped to many unsubstantiated conclusions before ever meeting me prior to this nightmare of a visit. Susan completely failed to deliver patient centered care. Zero empathy, compassion, or understanding. Susan literally threw a cruel tantrum. It was all about her ego and biases. Never attempting to actually treat or exam me. Once her dismissive behavior became clear, I left immediately. I refused to sit there and allow her to make me her punching bag for the day. Susan completely lacks the ability to behave like an adult, let… alone treat her patients like adults, or with dignity and respect. What a shame. Please retire and let young, competent professionals in to care for patients who are attempting to bring business to Farallon. You’re clearly not able to keep up with the work load any longer.

I was referral to this office by another optometrist office and i have some fillings they make business together. First visit spend time arrive to office front desk representative has no idea about anything i have to canceled appointment and leave. Call office to confirm all information how everything works provide insurance everything approve make appointment and surprise: 1) You have need arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. 2) Waiting time 30 minutes after your appointment. 3) Test time 1 hour if lucky. 4) Then you have to get another test with eye drop and wait another 45 minutes to see doctor but they forget to let you now after this test you can't drive car for at least 4 hours. 5) If you like to get glasses prescription it will be additional charge for $55.00 out of packet. I have only one simple question to office employee why i got all this information after i arrived to my appointment lost working day and money. I don't have any idea who put 5 star to this horrible… facility. Please be make sure if you dealing with this garbage place to ask all question before you step in. Batter solution to find professional facility who really care about patience. Looks like this facility care only about how much they can cheat you.

Great Physician, very personable, explains things very clearly.

Dr. Longar is one of my favorite doctors always has an interest in how i'm doing in life. It always is a very nice visit and I feel confident in her assessment.

Dr. Longar is a very professional, personable, and caring doctor. I've been going to her for 11 years now, and she really seems to remember whom her patients are. People grow older over an 11-year time span, and every visit I have with her, she seems to remember who I am and when I started visiting her. She likes to get to know her patients. She starts of her exam visits by letting her patients update her on whats been going on since their last visit, and she seem to be very engaged in what her patients have to tell them. She also makes sure she answers any questions or concerns you may have before you walk away. She does her best to make her patients feel at ease and comfortable with procedures that will be performed. She really takes care of her patients as one would with their family. I would defiantly recommend her to family and friends in need of a great ophthalmologist.
