Dr. Susan Schloff, MD

I took my 22 month old son whom has a brain tumor to Dr. Schloff and she was extremely dismissive and decided that she would make her own time line on the progression of his symptoms. Her interactions with him where terrible, I honestly don't think that she regularly interacts with patients as young as him. She missed huge signs on why he leans his head and looks out the corner of his eye instead of straight ahead. She even popped a zit on her shoulder during our appointment.

I'm a little surprised at the other reviews considering that we referred to her as "Dr. Gloom" and she came across as very pessimistic and not very empathetic. Normally, I am irritated when I feel like medical professionals are not being straight with me and are overly pollyanna-ish, but I left every visit depressed and confused. My child had an eye condition related to trauma but he ended up recovering fully without any major intervention. It's possible that she did not have enough experience with the condition to give an accurate prognosis. I wouldn't say that she is a bad doctor, but I wanted to give some balance to the other "wow" reviews.

I cannot say enough about this doctor and her team. My family owes her so much. We came in with a problem that we thought was just routine and nothing to worry about. The doctor did a complete exam and then told me that she was concerned about something more worrisome. She got us right in for a special test and scan, then followed up the same day with us. We were so scared--but she found the right words to comfort me. Our daughter had a tumor--and now she has had surgery and other treatment. She has a long way to go but we are so grateful to have met Dr. Schloff and her team.

we got in right away when we called the office. The staff was nice. I was alone cuz my husband was at work. they were all great. Dr. Schloff knew what was wrong with my baby and got her treated right away. I was pretty scared but the doctor helped calm me down. I have had a few other office visits since then, all equally great. thanks.

We met this doctor for the first time several years ago in the middle of the night for an emergency. She exceeded our expectations. She put my daughter right at ease by talking directly to her. She helped us avoid a trip to the operating room by talking her through a scary procedure while awake. Pain free. I could hardly believe it! This Dr also called us the next day to check on us and to make sure we had everything we needed. It can sometimes be hard to get in to see her but I can see why. Since we met her I have run across many moms in play group who also see her. We are all wowed.

My daughters association with Dr. Schloff stated with emergency eye trauma. My daughter was 5 years old at the time. Although another doctor from Associated Eye Care was on call for the initial response and surgery, Dr. Schloff has provided all the follow up care. She has always been great with me and my daughter. I could not more highly recommend Dr Schloff.
