She found a melanoma and saved my life

As past patients of Dr. Susan Woods, we took our disabled daughter to her as a first time patient who recently developed alopecia. Only to be rudely turned away at the front desk by a staff member who claims Doctor refuses to see any patient who has Caresource(Ohio Medicaid). We presented her insurances....primary insurance is Medical Mutual, secondary insurance is Anthem. Then as we presented a Caresource card as an optional 3rd insurance, the staff member rudely said doctor won't see her. Apparently, even if the Caresource insurance info is NOT EVEN ENTERED INTO THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM and we only acknowledge the 2 main insurance policies, we cannot be treated by this doctor. As if we are parasites and not worthy of this doctors care. If this doctor has experienced non-payments from Caresource in the past, that does not give her the right to refuse treatment to a patient with 2 perfectly acceptable insurance policies and the ability to pay for any treatments not covered by insurances. … We, as a family, as well as ALL the people we have recommended to Dr. Susan Woods in the past, will NEVER go back. We will find a dermatologist ( and staff) who genuinely cares for their patients.
