Dr. Suzanne Erin Chang, MD

I had a couple appointments with Dr. Chang and I was not happy. When I went to a follow up appointment and reviewed my blood work, the way that the information was reviewed was so rude and discouraging. I was aware that my blood panel wasn't the best and was looking forward to ways to improve my health but when I saw Dr. Chang, she ended up recommending 4 different prescription medications to treat cholesterol, prediabetes, GLP1 for weight loss and acid reflux. I asked if I can try naturally losing weight and changing my diet to improve my levels and she looked at me with a straight face and said no, I need medication. She said it would be too hard, I would by going against nature, and it wouldn't make much of a difference. I asked about seeing a nutritionist and she shook her head no, gave me a piece of paper to recommends a low carb diet. I said before I take medication, I want to try to lose weight with improved diet and exercise. She had a tone and look of 'ok good luck.' I have… never been recommended so many medications at one doctor visit before. Dr. Chang didn't have very good bedside manner and doesn't seem to listen. She was very quick to prescribe medications and did not seem like she cared about my overall well being. She was very discouraging and didn't seem willing to give me the tools and resources to get better. It was like she just wanted to practice a bunch of medications to get me out of her office to move on to the next appointment.

Called office to schedule an appt. and they hang up. :(

Does not spend any time talking to patients. In and out..... Actually laughed at my issue, with her office help. No diagnosis. Does not call back or follow up with anything. It is the poorest health care I have ever received. I had to change Dr's and group. Do not go to her.

I was given a diagnosis of a horrible disease in such an uncaring manner and before xray results. I performed two office tests and the results contradicted each other. The Dr. could not see me for a month. I ran for an xray. Called office to hear results. They didn't bother to call me. "Xray was good" nurse said. No call helping me through all the contradictory and confusing findings. I was told to wait until next appointment in a month. I was left to figure it out myself. I found an online training video for giving the test that led to the wrongful diagnosis. I figured out that I had performed the test incorrectly; had done the exact opposite of what I was suppose to do!!! The nurse was too young and/or inexperienced to detect it. I called to let nurse and doctor know. Asked if Dr. Chang could rule out diagnosis. "No, but could take test again in a month". Poor customer care. I would have suffered for a month instead of two days had I not been assertive.

She spend 5 minutes minimum with you and then gives you your diagnosis. She doesn't seem to care for your questions and concerns. She just assumes, to know what's wrong with no input from the patient. Very disappointing to know she's a doctor who doesn't take her job seriously, and take her time to answer questions and listen to her patients concerns.

This doctor never looked into any of the medical complaints that I had. Time after time going to her and telling her my medical problems she would just write a perscription for medicine and did not know for sure what the problem was ever. Never did any tests to find out. She is so busy on her computer putting in notes she hardly ever looked at me or checked my medical complaints.She spend about 5 minutes each visit. I am now in the care of a Doctor who immediately said we are going to run Blood tests, sonigram, do x-rays and an MRI. She has found several medical problem that needed attention. I am in no more pain and I am exercising again without headaches, I have lost weight and feel great. No thanks to Dr. Chang...........You will be dissapointed in her.

Felt like she was not listening to me at all. Continually looked at the computer instead of talking to me and making eye contact. Did not seem concerned with me or any of my questions. I felt rushed like I was bothering her and she didn't have the time to deal with me. Very disappointed =(
