Dr. Suzanne Rauschenplat Swietnicki, MD

I had a stillbirth October 3rd of 2019. Unfortunately I had Dr. Suzanne Swietnicki as my doctor. I was admitted September 29th and was discharged October 3rd. I was admitted due to having an incompetent cervix which was dilated to 3cm and my water was bulging. From the first interaction I had with Dr. Swietnicki I knew it was going to be a bad interaction. After Dr. Swietnicki found out I was going to be a single mother she said to me "Your going to lose him anyways. What us to induce labor?" She proceeded to check me manually multiple times over the days I was admitted. I was moved to 4 different rooms within my short stay. She had ordered that I needed the Flu shot and the Rhogam shot which I was given back to back and was never documented. Due to her manually checking me multiple times an infection was introduced into my body. After my water had broken she had proceeded to tell me how her son had influenza and said "You should do something with your life. You should go to college."… with my mom in the room. She also informed me that my white blood cell count was elevated. When I asked if the flue shot could have caused it. She told me know no. On October 3rd when my son was coming she refused to let me push and pulled him out of me. She proceeded to tell me he was dead without ever trying to help him. She then proceeded to give me 2 Tylenol and an Advil, waited maybe 30 mins and then proceeded to scrape out my placenta. Within less then an hour of me having my son she asked the they could preform and autopsy to "find out what happened". I of course said no. I was told later by my midwife that Dr. Swietnicki has a "rough bedside manner". After almost 6 years I am still scared to even try for another baby after what she did to me. If your ever get Dr. Suzanne Swietnicki as your doctor request a new doctor immediately or leave. If I could give her 0 Stars I would.

I agreed with the other post on here and what the person wrote about this doctor are true. I was very unlucky to have her on my delivery day. She told me there would be 2 student doctors who would help her during the labor. I agreed and simply thought they provided their help as she said and that she was mainly the person who should be in charge, but I was really disapointed that she let them did all herwork and stood there to give them lecture as if they all were in an anatomy lab in the highschool. The reason I say this is because they didn't care about me as their patient and didn't respect me at all. In addition, they did a horrible job from examining my celvix to my labor with terrible sewing job and ugly stiches leaving me a big hole. I've been carrying this big mess down there soon after my labor. Peacehealth need to do somethings with that kind of service they provide and they should have the staffs rating before we go home as they do at Tuality community hospital; they even… came to my room and close to me and ask if the staffs treat me well and that If I feel warm, supported and welcomed being there.

She was rude, her staff hated her and defied her openly, she asked me EVERY time she came into my room at the hospital if I had gestational diabetes or preeclampsia because of my weight, of which I had neither. She scheduled me for a C-section without my knowledge and gave me no time to prepare. She never read my birth plan, and if she had she never would have followed it because just about everything she said or did went against it. When I told her this, she ignored me. She brought medical students into my room when I specifically asked her not to and she said, "too bad". I had the worst possible birth experience with Dr. Swietnicki and I urge anyone to reconsider. She also spent the entirety of my C-Section talking about marathons and her biking experience. She is a BAD PERSON.
