Dr. Jonsson actually sat down with me to review my health history and discuss overall health changes that could be made from a preventive perspective. We talked about nutrition and the effects on chronic diseases and overall health, with references to educational materials. One of the best physician visits that I have ever had.

Very kind and always remembers who you are. I love that he also considers nutrition natural means to help heal your body, not just pushing pills.

Dr jonsson has a perfect bedside manner, perfect listener,and knows his job well, as far as I can tell. He must work too much, cause he looks tired too often for me. He is very compassionate and cool.

Dr. Jonsson asks questions and is an excellent listener. I have never had a more compassionate doctor, or a doctor as observant and insightful as he is. I was his patient for 3 years, then I moved to the other side of the city and driving to his office became too costly in gas and time. For 3 more years I have tried to find another general care practitioner and still have yet to find one who lives up to the standard that I have from Dr. Jonsson's excellent care. I wish there were more doctor's like him.

I have had nothing but terrible experiencs with this place. I have been going to this office for about a year solely because I haven't had the time to find a new family physician. The staff is incredibly rude, especially the main front desk lady who you inevitably have to deal with each visit. Their refill policy is absolutely ridiculous. I had went in for an appointment, and when I called after leaving stating I had forgotten to ask for a new prescription, the secretary refused to give me one and said I would have to make another appointment. I worked in a doctor's office for over three years and NEVER have I seen a policy as such. The last time I went there solely for a refill I waited approximately an hour and a half just to be handed a slip of paper. Lastly, they can't even get the billing straight. I have been billed TWICE the full amount and it got to the point where my insurance personally had to call the office to straighten it out. Blakenbaker Primary Care is an absolute… embarrassment to the medical field in every aspect possible. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

It is impossible to get an appointment with the Dr. Everytime I call all I get offered is an appointment with the nurse practitioner up to a week later. The office staff was rude. I also had to wait 1 1/2 hours and while in the waiting room I called and found another Dr that got me in the next day so I left. Very disappointed.

I love Dr Jonsson and have been a patient for over 20yrs. Unfortunately he has sold his practice, and even though he still sees patients at this office the new staff and policies are sure to run off even his most loyal patients. It is now nearly impossible to get an appointment with Dr Jonsson and they want to schedule you with one of the practices other doctors. They refuse to call in prescription refills regardless of the medication or what they are treating and will not even check with the doctor to see if it is a medication you should not be without. You must be seen in the office for refills, even if you were just in the week before. It's all about the money. The wait time to be seen has become ridiculous and I can't begin to describe the unprofessional attitudes at the front desk.

Dr. Jonssen is one of the best family practice MDs in Louisville, however he does need to give a Courtesy 101 refresher to his staff who tends to be rude and presumptuous. If this fine Doctor would surround himself with a pleasant, cordial, friendly and efficient staff and he would be the "Perfect 10" for sure. I'd stopped going only because I did not care for the rudeness of the young ladies that answered the phone and the snippy front-desk attitudes I had to contend with at each visit. My loss, because he was an excellent MD.
