Dr. Syed A Asad, MD

Outstanding Neurologist, extremely dedicated, with ENORMOUS knowledge base and skill set. He is board certified in Neurology, as well as Nuclear Medicine and has a separate area of interest in TBI- traumatic brain injuries- I have been a patient of his for over a decade with spine issues and I can assure you as a physician myself, you would be very unlikely to find a finer Neurologist. I give him 5/5 stars with no reservations.

I am impressed with Dr Asad's "bedside manner." He was thorough and really explained what he was doing as he was asking questions for the assessment on my Father.

I saw him once and was pawned off to a PA. He didn't read any of my history decided one thing and passed me on without any help. I continue to decline and have seizures and I do get the feeling that nobody in the office cares. Furthermore, when another doctor read me some of his records I started to cry because it was all completely fabricated lies. Was not interested in finding root cause but drugging me.

Dr Asad takes the time to explain, in layman's language, so we understand the problem, process, remedies and options and he does this with the care and compassion as if he were a family member. Each of his associates, from the front desk to the nurse taking your pulse is actively listening, treats you with tender care and respect. These qualities are the basis of TRUST. We are so fortunate to have him in our lives and in our community.

I have been a RN for 30+ years, so taking care of people was 2nd nature & I was awesome at it; not so in my new role of ‘patient’. It took me 3 years to find a neurologist with the knowledge (they all have that), compassion (none had this until I met Asad), and the ability to make me-the patient- feel like I am in charge of my treatment plan. Patient Centered Care is the GOLD STANDARD & this MD is in a class by himself in making sure you leave knowing that fact!

Always listens to my problems goes beyond to find me help. Office is 100 times better now that he is not at Baptist.

Dr Asad is a amazing doctors he takes his time and doesn't rush. He is very thorough with his patients. Don't plan a appointment following his office visits cause he does like to being very thorough and he makes sure he doesn't miss any thing you office visit can take any where from a hour or more. Which to me is a relief cause most doctors rush is and rush out and miss dignoise their patients cause they don't take their time and listen, but not Doctor Asad he listens to every word you say and takes everything you say into consideration. His bedside manner is amazing. He is a very nice and caring doctor. Some times I'm waiting 30 minutes or more after my appointment time, but I don't mind one bit cause I know he is going to take his time and listen and give me the best quality care you could ask for.

after seeing him for 5 years I have had no progress on feeling better. the wait time for his office is 2 1/2 hours or more despite being told to arrive 15 mins. early to check in. This is disrespectful of me and my time. There is no follow up, and a diagnosis I received from his PA was incorrect and caused much worrying and other issues. Another Dr. in his practice saw me to refute the poor diagnosis and charged me for "an extended visit" after he spent 20 mins with me. the practice was once good, but no longer. looking for another physician again.

Dr. Asad did not even have his DBS programmer in the office during the first visit. during his second visit with me, he fumbled with it as a beginner would do. When it was time for me to get my DBS batteries replaced, he sent me to the highly competent Dr. Wallace at Lyerly Baptist Neurolsjrgery After that, even with the accompaniment of the local medtronics rep, he had a diffixcult time adjusting me, using ethe settings I first had after my initial operation in 2007 in Seattle last night.
