Sad reflection on Dr. Leonard to learn that she will not see you once you reach 65 and become a Medicare patient. Not only must we pay into Medicare for all of our working career, but then when we reach the years of retirement when we often need more comprehensive care from our doctors (whom we have come to know and who know our history best), we learn that they refuse to treat us. Medicare , and our doctors, fail us.

Love Dr. Leonard! I will say I was a big fan of her being on her own, because I knew I would always see her, and that she would be the one to deliver my son. She has since added a Dr. and 2 nurse practitioners but with my recent visit, which was an unscheduled one, she wasn't in that day and I LOVED Debbie the Nurse Practitioner I saw too. I wasn't getting great news, but they took time to talk me through everything and listened to my concerns.

The good news...the staff at the front desk is wonderful, very nice and professional. The rest was down hill from there. The Nurse Practioner however lacks professional and I think overall understanding. She said things to me like.."we need to test for cancer" but then was unable to adequately explain why or what concerns were presenting that it was warranted. I had to question over and over again to get a reasonable explanation. Additionally she was unable to spell the condition they were diagnosing me with and had to leave the office to get the spelling from the internet. The ultra sound tech was the least professional and I can't evn describe here how uncaring she was in how she expected to conduct the ultrasound. As for ease of appointment? They will not make an appoitment for anyone's first visit to the office. You first are REQUIRED to see the Nurse Practitioner for your first visit...not the doctor. Would not recommend this practice to anyone.

I have been seeing this dr for about the past 5 years. My visits always went well and her manner was professional.Not until a few months ago when I had an abnormal pap and was not given the results and later had a sonogram and was not given the results for almost 2 wks. it was only after calling several times did I get the results. They were bad. I am now seeing with a gyn oncologist due to my test results.If you decide to see her, please do the following: get the actual reports, not the pap is normal card and make a note to call on your calendar so time doesn't slip away from you.
