Dr. Tanzania Marie Dooley, MD

I’m retired veteran that has seen a multitude of doctors. I met Dr. Dooley in the Spring of 2025 as my primary care doctor at Alvin C. York. She was very personable yet professional and immediately I felt at ease with her. She comes from a lineage of Doctors from her Father to her Grandfather whom both would be well pleased with her skills and patient care. I would highly recommend her as I just did to my best friend and fellow Vetran R. K. G. May God continue to bless you Dr. Dooley!

My husband sees Dr Dooley for his diabetes care. She has always been, helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

My experience with Dr. Dooley was absolutely fabulous. She was kind, considerate, honest and straight forward. She was very professional, her bedside manner was phenomenal and her diagnosis was on point. She truly had a lasting impression, one that I will never forget. I have not since had a doctor that was as compassionate and caring. And she actually listened to me. Got to the root of several problems in my life physically, emotionally and spiritually without even knowing that she had positively touched my life on several different levels. In essence, she is an outstanding physician, but an even greater person. Thank you Dr. Dooley and I pray all is well with you and your family.

Dr. Tanzi Dooley, should not be a Dr. She is the worst!!

Dr. Dooley was always very good to me! She was very reasonably when I had no health insurance. Told me things that I never knew. Always got me in when I needed to get in to see her without a hesitation. In a timely manner. Called in refills for me, instead of making me go into her office every time I needed a refill. Very understanding of my situation. However, my ONLY complaint about her was, you were kept waiting for too long a period of time. I was in her office for about 3 hours total one time. Just with that being said, I miss not having her for my doctor. And wish she would be back in practice and excepting my medicare insurance carrier! She is a Smart Lady!

Finding a new doctor.

The staff was great. Dr. Dooley was nice. However, we would discuss something and before she got up to leave she had forgotten what we had discussed. Once I had gotten blood work done, I called for the results and never got a call back. I called again and at the end of that day someone called me backa and told me my results were on the doctors desk and she was gone for the day. This went on. When I went back in to see the doctor she never once mentioned my blood work. It was only after I had come in complaining about being tired that she mention my vitamin D was low. I daughter was having a reaction to something. She went in to see Dr. Dooley and got some medicine. It happened two more times. Dr. Dooley called her in something once for it but refused to the last time and my daughter wasn't able to take off work so she had to suffer through. Another time my daughter asked for a referal and Dr. Dooley told her she would have to come in. Now she had already seen Dr. Dooley for that… reason. It is as though she makes you come in to collect the copay. I never really trusted her judgement. I think she is capable but I think she has to many other things on her mind.

I have never felt comfortable enough with any doctor to really be totally honest at visits. I was always to intimidated. I feel like becaue I was able to tell her I was worried about my drinking I got the help I needed and she got me through it. I have my life and health back and she was right there cheering me on with every step. Thank you Dr. Dooley.

I started seeing Dr. Dooley around 3 years ago, and i truly believe she SAVED MY LIFE. I am not from Middle Tennessee, and none of the Doctors i have visited have been as thorough as Dr. Dooley. She has always been very friendly and understanding to me. She has been stern with me only as she had needed to be to make her point, and i do not believe i would have the health that i have today if it were not for Dr. Dooley. I would recommend her to everyone!
