Dr. Tara Gansheimer Ralph, DO

I highly recommend Dr. Ralph. She is professional, thoughtful and very thorough. I value her knowledge and I appreciate the prompt attention and time that she always provides. In addition, she completely explains test results, diagnosis and treatments so I have a better understanding of my medical care. I trust her judgement and advise and I am thankful she is my doctor.

I have worked in healthcare and medical research and know a good doctor when I meet one. I was new to the area and hopeful that MMC would provide an excellent experience. I was very disappointed with Dr. Ralph and will not be returning. She was very short and patronizing in her demeanor. I asked some questions about my labs and she failed to answer them, as if I wouldn't understand anyway. I felt rushed and disrespected. She gave me a prescription for a pill I didn't want, and gave no explanation as to why I should take it. I threw the prescription in the trash and have not returned. There are too many excellent options in this metropolitan area who will gladly accept my Blue Cross insurance.

Very cold and uncaring. Not impressed with her at all.

The entire group of internal medicine is very busy, but I am very pleased with Dr. Ralph and her staff. I am an RN and RNs are very particular in the doctors they choose. She spends all the time I need and I have never seen her look at her watch. Excellent bedside manner; very compassionate and thorough; reviews lab results with her patients. I have a history of ______ so she is very protective of me when I mention a new symptom. Not reluctant at all to order a test or a referral. She emphasizes preventative care which I like because patients need to be active participants in their own health. And her NP is top notch and spot on every time. I have recommended Dr. Ralph to others. The group's clerical staff are very kind and I have also dealt with another doctor there when Dr. Ralph was out of the office; he was very kind. You have to be patient when you call in, because the wait time can be 10 mins sometimes.

Rude, snippy, impatient, short tempered. Did not seem to care whether she could help me or not. I was appalled at her lack of compassion as well as her lack of professionalism.

Dr. Ralph does not have the professionalism, patience, and courtesy needed for an elderly patient.
