Tariq Almerey, MD, FACS

Dr. Tariq Almerey is a surgeon who specializes in complex liver and multi-organ transplant procedures. He completed his medical education at Damascus University before pursuing advanced training with a residency at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Almerey furthered his expertise through a fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital, where he gained specialized experience in transplant surgery. He holds the distinction of being a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and communicates with patients in English.

Dr. Almerey practices at multiple UF Health Surgery locations throughout Jacksonville, Florida, providing patients with convenient access to specialized care. He focuses on treating serious liver conditions including acute liver failure, cirrhosis, and fulminant hepatitis.
